New kids in the much celebrated Premier Soccer League (PSL) side, Triangle United Football Club has set sight to make an impact in the top flight league in their debutant season.
The Eastern region division one league champions have beefed up their squad by signing new players, most of which have premier league experience.
Some of the players that have already in the ambitious team’s books include; Limited Chikafa who was playing for Setheo United last season, Blessing Chimwamuchere,Daniel Kamunhenga, Pardon Chinungwa,to name but a few. On their radar there is former Dynamos attacking rightback,David Kutyauripo, former Motor Action middle fielder Clement Matawu.
The team has reportedly lured the services of former Dynamos shot-stopper Gift ‘Umbro’ Muzadzi. Muzadzi would work as goalkeeper’s coach in the new executive set up and is expected to combine well with the team’s shrewd mentor,Gishon Ntini.
Ntini allegedly got the nod to continue with the team he took to glory despite numerous applications from some of the sort after coaches who wanted the job.
The sugar cane firm kept faith in Gidza as he is affectionately known in football circles.
Ntini has warned other teams in the PSL saying the Lowveld based team will never be pushovers and they would also play for honours.
“Let it be known by other teams that there is no longer a big or smaller team these days. We will not be in the topflight league to make up numbers but we will be in the league to compete with the best,” said Ntini.
The former Caps United and Black Rhinos mentor said the team has already started its preparations for the season.
“We have started our preparations in earnest as we want to work on different combinations. I am getting the necessary support from the owners of the team and the situation is conducive for all including the players. We have recruited a number of experienced players and we have managed to keep most of the players that helped the team winning the championship,” he said.
