– Zimbabwe hopes to host the Parliament of the World’s Religions for the years

assistance and moral support in our quest to host this parliament. We are
convinced that it would be good for the image of our country.

revenue generation in the tourism industry as more than 30 000 people from 80
nations will attend. It will also market the country and boost the confidence
of investors,” said Mwanza.

He said the gathering
would be marked by such activities as lectures, presentation of academic papers,
seminars, panel discussions as well as religious and spiritual observances.

focuses on climate change, hate speech, violence and other forms of conflict.
Zimbabwe needs revival and together as a nation, we can make a difference. It
is a time to put differences aside in order to uplift the nation,” said Mwanza.

parliament ran under the theme, ‘There Will be Peace on Earth when there is
Peace Amongst the World’s Religions.’

founded in 1893 in Chicago, United States of America (USA) and, alongside the
Colombian Exhibition, is considered to be the birth of the inter-faith movement
which aims to reveal the beauty of Hinduism, Judaism, Islam, Christianity and
other religions.
