GWERU – Infamous for his extreme bootlicking antics, Zanu PF national youth league leader Kudzai Chipanga told Gweru youths that after successfully making President Robert Mugabe’s birthday a public holiday, he was now pushing for the renaming of the Harare International Airport after the nonagenarian.
Addressing a small gathering during the Zanu PF youth inter-district meeting held at Cecil John Rhodes Primary School last week, Chipanga said they want Harare International Airport to be renamed Robert Mugabe International Airport.
“We are happy that President Robert Mugabe and the government have agreed to make the February 21 a national holiday; it’s now called Robert Mugabe Youth Day.
“We are now working to have Harare International Airport named after our President. We want it renamed Robert Mugabe International Airport.
“This is nothing new and should not be surprising anyone as we already have Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo International Airport in Bulawayo. In South Africa they also have Oliver Tambo International Airport,” Chipanga added.
He said such developments would help preserve Mugabe’s legacy.
“We want to help preserve the Mugabe legacy. We will therefore push that we have the developments implemented as soon as possible,” Chipanga said.
Earlier this year, Chipanga said Mugabe was an angel who will, on Judgement Day, be sitting alongside the Holy Trinity vetting people into heaven.
