Mugabe offside on Zvobgo

0

Umm the fights in Zanu PF have since become so dangerous that President Mugabe should declare it a national disaster now. Yes, Mugabe should declare it a national disaster chaiyo because Mapombi has a feeling that we will visit the national heroes’ acre more often if what we are seeing now is not addressed urgently.
Many people think Mapombi is crazy but those who cared listening to me some years back vakabatsirikana except few Cdes who think they know politics more than I do. Or maybe they are full of themselves that they thought they will never take advice from a mad woman.
The likes of Emmerson Dambudzo (ED) and other Lacoste supporters chose to give a deaf ear but nhasi vari mugehena chaimo. They are even crying and pleading with the poor Mapombi to assist them even with just a drop of water because the heat has since become unbearable.
Kkkkkkk isu zvedu pakadai ndopatinotoita ngano dzatsuro nagudo tototi tsviraimo sekuru; tsviraimo lacoste; tsviramo Dambudzo. But iwo mamwe mazita enyu aya munozviunzirawo matambudziko shuwa. . . Dambudzo kkkkkk.
But Grace is now in cruising mode; I’m sure some lacoste comrades will be shown the exit door. Very soon. I am sure vana Chadzamira nana Mangwana hope hadzisi kuuya these days kkkk. But politics is indeed fun; not so long ago, these Cdes were so powerful and were literally running the show in Masvingo province but hey it seems ice cream yakavaparira.
Many people would say Grace was just being emotional for nothing in Bindura but Mapombi can safely remind you that they don’t call her Dr Gire for nothing. Of course she might be lacking wisdom like many of you think, that I am not going to dispute anywhere. But kana achitaura batai manzwi. She said vese vanoda factionalism pack your bags and go kuMasvingo or Midlands.
She said Mnangagwa also engaged in nepotism kkkkk hanzi akasiira mukadzi wake constituency makambonzwa tichitaura here isu kkkkkk politics dziye dzonakidza. So Grace confirms that Zanu PF and government are ridden with nepotism.
But Mapombi akambozvitaura kuti izvo zvoitiwa naMnangagwa zvekupa mukadzi wake constituency will backfire one day vanhu vakanditi unopenga nyarara manje mava kuzviona ka.
But I must say I was baffled by Mugabe’s speech in Bindura. Mapombi thinks Mugabe was offside by accusing the late national hero Eddison Zvobgo of being tribalist. Mapombi and many other people in Masvingo do not agree that Zvobgo was tribalist. Mapombi is convinced that those posthumous accusations against Zvobgo are informed by nothing but mere hatred and a sinister political agenda.
In fact, Zvobgo fought the injustices that were created by Mugabe himself. Firstly, why Mashonaland was divided into four provinces leaving Masvingo which is almost of the same size ichingori one province? Wasn’t that meant to channel out more resources to the Zezurus who are in Mashonaland? So who is more tribal here? Musada kutinzwa vanhu imi.
Masvingo province yaisvika kuBuhera uko but yakagurwa gurwa nevakachenjera simply because someone wanted more resources to go to Mashonaland; now each province is getting 10 percent of the national cake so Mashonaland is getting a total 40 percent in total while Masvingo yakangoti vavava ne10 percent.
Mugabe therefore, should stop accusing the likes of Zvobgo of tribalism because we know who is even more into that. After all, why giving someone a national hero status when one knows that the person was tribalist? Why attacking national heroes in public in the first place?
We know the whole idea is to portray Mnangagwa as another tribalist . . . itiranai nana Mnangagwa vapenyu not going to an extent of attacking the dead. We respect Zvobgo; maybe if he was still alive things would have been better.
We are Karanga and I must say we are very proud of that. But in the same vein, we equally respect other tribes like the Ndebele, Venda and Zezuru just to mention a few. We believe that the national cake should be distributed equally and all tribes must benefit kwete izvi zvatinoona zvekuita senge ndimi mega makairwira nyika ino.
Can someone go to Mashonaland and see the quality of agricultural infrastructure iriko and then come kuno kuMasvingo and compare. We know all these things but we never said a thing but then kana mava kuda kutiita senge mapenzi ndopatinozoti hatichada, hatichatya.
Mapombi has noticed that Gushungo 40 (G40) faction always defends its cadres. In fact, Dr Gire said there is only one faction called Lacoste in this country and there is nothing like G40. She also said Kasukuwere is not going anywhere and that Prof Moyo never abused funds from Zimdef.
This is the kind of defense and support I expect Mnangagwa to give to the Lacoste faction kwete zvekusweronyepa kuti handiizivi this and that. Mugabe told us that even at Tsholotsho, you were part of the plan but segweta wakangwara ukarega kuendako and they failed to get evidence to nail you. So the old man knows everything so why not kutongobudawo pachena defending your faction like what Dr Amai did in Bindura.
Now vana Energy Mutodi were fired; more are going to be fired especially from Masvingo in the next few weeks. Wake up Cde Croc!
Anyway, it’s almost lunch time guys let me go ndindokanga zvangu maputi angu ndidye ndizvimwire mvura zvangu. At least it’s hot these days so bananas are starting to rot kwedu kuChitima uku so tava kumbowanawo chekudya. Any news from Mphoko? Vagarisa vasina kumboshuta mafirimu this time. Hanzi namai imi maMinister kana moita misangano yenyu mudeedzewo VaMphoko kwete zvekungodeedza ED chete asi vose vari maVP kkkk. Mboko imboko!

The two released their first single ‘Zimba hustler’ in 2012 but the track was not as successful as had been expected. This, however, did not dissuade the brothers who continued with their work, releasing many Hip hop and Afro Pop singles before their latest offer.

Zvishavane man brutalises wife for reporting domestic violence

Senator Timveos visits the assault victim at Zvishavane General Hospital

Samukelisiwe Ngwenyama

ZVISHAVANE – Midlands Senator Lilian Timveos and Councillor Fatima Phiri recently rushed Theresa Siziba of Mandava Ward 3 to hospital for treatment of severe body injuries she sustained after her husband, Tatenda Chitsika allegedly bashed her as revenge for reporting an earlier physical abuse case.
Chitsika is due to appear in court this week in connection with the alleged offense.
When he allegedly committed the offence, Chitsika had reportedly just been released from prison after serving one month for beating his wife Siziba.
Sources said he was angry that Siziba had caused his imprisonment by reporting the earlier abuse case to the police. On September 3, it is said, he savagely attacked her again but this time to the point of near death.
Siziba is said to have bled through the nose and ears, with her face swollen beyond recognition and her eyes so engorged that she could not see.
During the onslaught, a neighbour who heard her helpless cries went and forced the door open and rescued her, with Chitsika fleeing the scene and spending the whole night in a nearby cemetery.
The neighbour then called Timveos and Phiri who came and fetched Siziba to hospital before reporting the matter to the police.top news

Mwenezi man jailed for sex with underage girl

MWENEZI – Oden Mavhiyagudo (26) of Village 1, Muzhanjire Ranch under Chief Neshuro, was recently sentenced to 24 months in jail after he was convicted of having sex with a 15-year-old minor girl.
Magistrate Honest Musiiwa, however, conditionally suspended four months of the sentence, leaving Mavhiyagudo to effectively serve the remaining 20 months.
Though Mavhiyagudo pleaded not guilty to rape charges, the court found overwhelming evidence against him to merit a conviction.
He told the court that he was merely in love with the minor but had never slept with her.
In sentencing Mavhiyagudo, Musiiwa said abusers like Mavhiyagudo deserved lengthy custodial sentences that can send a strong deterrence message to other would-be-offenders.
The court heard that on July 7 this year, Mavhiyagudo proposed love to the girl and she accepted.
Three days later at around 11:00 hrs, Mavhiyagudo went to the minor’s homestead in Muzhanjire Ranch Village 2 where he found her working in the field and the two engaged in consensual sex in that field.
They then parted ways but later that same day at around 21:00 hrs, Mavhiyagudo returned to the minor’s homestead and took her to his place of residence.
When the minor’s mother learnt about it, she went to Mavhiyagudo’s homestead where she took her daughter back. A police report was later made leading to the arrest of Mavhiyagudo.

Bikita women fight for free Zanu PF rice

MASVINGO – Zanu PF Bikita Ward 22 women’s league chairperson, Juliet Mhurai Jecha (51) on Monday appeared before magistrate Takawira Mugabe for allegedly beating an opposition member who had joined the queue to receive free rice that was being distributed at a Zanu PF rally late last year.
The accused pleaded guilty and was remanded to September 14 for sentencing.
Jecha, who resides in Bikita, Dzingirai village under Chief Mukanganwi, allegedly assaulted Memory Mugari (30) a member of Zimbabwe People First (ZimPF) of Gore village.
It is the State’s case that on December 20, 2016 at around 14:00 hrs Mugari and Jecha were at Gangarahwe business centre where Zanu PF was distributing free rice to its supporters.
Jecha is alleged to have asked Mugari what she wanted at a Zanu PF gathering given that she had been seen at a ZimPF rally that had been held at the same place some two days before and the former replied that she was only there to collect rice.
This did not go down well with Jecha who then allegedly struck Mugari several times with open hands, fists, booted feet and a log all over her body before people came to restrain her.
Asked by the magistrate why she assaulted Mugari, Jecha told the court that she was offended that the complainant wanted to benefit at the expense of Zanu PF supporters.
“Yanga iri nguva yema by-elections ema MP aripo izvozvi, ndanga ndaona kut Memory ndewe kune rimwe bato uye anga atora rice vamwe vekubato rekwangu vashaiwa uye ndanga ndaona seanga atotipedzera ndosaka ndakamurova,” Jecha said.
The complainant was medically examined at Silveira Hospital where it was established that she had sustained moderate injuries and the medical affidavit was produced in court as an exhibit.

Sex workers celebrate Chigarapasi reopening

A sex worker performs a dance move on a male reveler during the Chigarapasi bar reopening concert

Anesushe Mamhute

CHIREDZI – Multitudes of sex workers who nine months ago threatened Chiredzi Town Council over the closure of the country’s biggest beer garden, Chigarapasi, last week gathered to celebrate the reopening of the popular joint.
The beer hall was reactivated under a lease agreement between council and businessman Five Muchehiwa, who is popularly known as Big 5.
The reopening ceremony was graced by musicians Progress Chipfumo and Jocob Moyana of the ‘Munotidako’ fame.
One sex worker who chose to identify herself simply as Bhiza said she now expected to get back business ‘with a bang’.
“We are back on business, our pride is back and hopefully Big 5 will make a difference so that artists can continue coming to Chiredzi,” said Bhiza.
Chiredzi West MP Darlington Chiwa said it was good that the place had reopened because it meant a lot for the people of Chiredzi.
“Chigarapasi means a lot to the people of Chiredzi especially in areas where these sister of ours (sex workers) have played a role in the circulation of money by paying rent and offering other services,” said Chiwa.
One senior Chiredzi resident, Thagar Cader said Chigarapasi held a historical importance in the town as it was the biggest place where people would go and unwind after a long day’s work mainly in the sugar estates.
“The proceeds of Chigarapasi were dedicated to developing the community such as building Chitsanga Hall and Tshovani Stadium. Students in Chiredzi schools were not required to pay building levy as the money was coming from the proceeds of Chigarapasi,” Cadar said.entertainment, top news

Seven more candidates emerge for Mwenezi West

0

. . . as Silvester Maunganidze denies interest

Cephas Shava

MWENEZI – As the 2018 general elections draw closer, more prospective candidates are emerging with seven more Zanu PF candidates said to be readying themselves for the party primaries, bringing the number of interested candidates from the ruling party to ten.
Though former tourism permanent secretary Dr Silvester Maunganidze denied having any interest to represent Mwenezi West in the 2018 general elections, seven more candidates have since reported to be eyeing the constituency.
Dr Maunganidze, who could not explain why he was removed from the position of permanent secretary in the ministry of tourism, could not explain why he lost the job but insisted that it has nothing to do with crossing President Robert Mugabe’s path.
The former tourism ministry permanent secretary also said he never lost dismally in Chivi South saying even the incumbent legislator Utete will not publicly say that.
The incumbent Member of Parliament, Lamson Matavire is likely to face stiff competition at party primaries as the electorate is now said to be supporting other candidates and have turned their backs at Matavire whom they accuse of a host of misdemeanours.
If one looks at the common criteria generally used by the Mwenezi West electorate to measure legislator performance, Matavire is likely to be found wanting with regards to any.
Among many other things, Matavire stands accused of rarely participating in parliamentary debates therefore failing to sufficiently highlight the problems in Mwenezi West.
Besides the fact that he hardly addresses meetings in his constituency, Matavire did not initiate any meaningful projects in the district and many people are questioning how he came to be voted into office during the 2013 elections.
With a few months left before the elections and with Matavire being accused of having consistently gone ‘missing’ from his constituency, the electorate, as has become the norm, is likely to show him the exit door at the Zanu PF primaries.
The new seven Zanu PF candidates reportedly eyeing the constituency are Rennias Muchoko, Tafadzwa Masvayamwando, Obey Mbiza, Jonathan Hungwe, Priscilla Moyo, Clarence Mhosva and Deryl Collet.
Muchoko, the provincial secretary for transport and welfare who is also the district coordinator for the party, is said to be ready to try his luck.
Muchoko has got many advantages in terms of political exposure when compared to other candidates. With his roots in Ward 12, Muchoko’s political clout began to show in 2000 when he was elected councillor. From there, he rose through the ranks to his current posts.
Since the flashing away of the ‘Gamatox’ faction from Zanu PF in 2014, Muchoko has been the district coordinator. He has been interacting with party structures and he is well-known in the constituency.
Being a holder of at least an Advanced Level certificate, Muchoko makes a lot of sense when addressing people at various party gatherings but is however faced with the challenge of limited resources.
For him therefore, the race is not a stroll in the park as other powerful aspirants who are also familiar within the structures have also emerged.
Masvayamwando, for example, lost slightly during the 2013 primaries to Matavire but he seems to be back with a bang.
He is a central committee member and his history within the youth structures can be traced back to around 2005. He has been visible, addressing structures at various meetings organised within the district.
Masvayamwando is likely to gain the limelight because of the achievements of his late father, former Mwenezi MP Isaiah Shumba.
During his tenure, Shumba worked for the electrification of many schools in Mwenezi West and when he later became Deputy Minister of Education, he helped many schools to introduce Advanced Level education. Though some of the schools were ‘illogically’ upgraded to high schools, Shumba had already convinced the people that he was a man of action.
As a holder of a diploma in mechanics, Masvayamwando, if he manages to drive his message across, can convince the electorate that he has the potential to reach where his father reached.
Having lost by a slight margin during 2013 primary elections, Masvayamwando probably knows that he does not have an automatic ticket to the national assembly in 2018. With resource constraints also being one of his major obstacles, Masvayamwando needs to work tirelessly to convince the electorate why he deserves their votes.
Mbiza, who is the Hariyeumba Primary School head, is also said to be in the race and is currently the party’s deputy provincial secretary for health. He has been in the district structures for a long time and is also among a list of candidates with limited resources.
As a school head, Mbiza probably has a degree in education and his surname is very familiar to many people in Mwenezi. He, however, still needs to work really hard to boost his chances in the crowded field. The fact that the incumbent is a former school head does not in any way automatically put him at an advantage.
Hungwe, a colonel in the army, is originally from Chivi and is reported to be strategically positioning himself to wrestle away Mwenezi East for himself. His history in the politics of Mwenezi can be traced back to 2008 towards the infamous June 27, 2008 presidential election rerun.
After the election rerun, Hungwe began to establish businesses and has a farm in Mwenezi and is one of the aspirants with some considerable resources. He is one of the candidates already doing something on the ground.
In February this year, he donated some building material at Sandidza Primary School. Last July, he donated roofing sheets and cement to a Zion church and is also said to be organising soccer tournaments.
However, as resourceful as Hungwe might be, he still faces huge hurdles to overcome if he indeed dreams to get to parliament next year. The Mwenezi West electorate is popularly described as ‘Mapfumbi’ – meaning people who believe that a person who was born and bred among them makes the best of a leader.
Moyo, the provincial secretary for finance, is one of the leading aspirants though her history in the politics of Mwenezi is sketchy and cannot be traced beyond a decade.
Originally, she is from Mhondoro but she came to be associated with Mwenezi after being married to the country’s ambassador to South Africa, Isaac Moyo. Though she used to reside in Harare, it is said that she relocated to Mwenezi almost seven years ago.
Rumour has it that after realising Joosbi Omar’s victory in the recent Mwenezi East by-election, former Mujingwe Conservancy’s white owner, Deryl Collet has seriously considered contesting in Mwenezi West.
If there is any grain of truth to it, Collet might spring a surprise as well.
Mhosva, a banker by profession, comes from Ward 12 and is also said to be an aspiring candidate but unconfirmed reports say he is not even within the Zanu PF structures.
Considering the calibre of emerging candidates, there is no predetermined winner and the 2018 Mwenezi West primary is likely to be a tighter contest than ever before.
The winner of the Zanu PF primaries will face other candidates from the opposition. Some believed that in the event of an emergence of a strong opposition candidate, she/he would be in a position to capitalise on the current Mujingwe Conservancy grievances.
However, the truth of the matter is that the advantage might not be that much because the area has several staunch Zanu PF supporters whose political allegiances cannot simply be changed over something as ‘trivial’ as the Mujingwe Conservancy controversy.politics, top news

New acting DA for Zaka

0

Ndeya Nyede

Brighton Chiseva

ZAKA – Ndeya Nyede, who has been the acting District Administrator (DA) for Chiredzi has been transferred to Zaka where he will occupy the same position on an acting basis, TellZim News can reveal.
Nyede is taking over from Victor Zinanga who has been the acting Zaka DA since the transfer of substantive DA Tapson Chivanga to Chivhu last year.
Nyede became the acting DA for Chiredzi after substantive DA Clara Muzenda was elevated to acting Provincial Administrator (PA) for Masvingo before being transferred to Chimanimani district in Manicaland province.
Nyede confirmed the development to TellZim News but was not ready to reveal more details of the move to Zaka.
“Yes I can confirm that I have been transferred to Zaka district and will be taking on my duties there very soon,” said Nyede.
The development is likely to mend the relationship between the Zaka DA’s office and the Rural District Council (RDC) since both Chivanga and Zinanga were not in good books with the local authority Chief Executive Officer (CEO) David Majaura.
The DA’s office would often accuse Majaura of insubordination while the CEO accused the DA’s office of trying to interfere with the operations of the local authority.local
