Recently appointed Greenfuel football administrator said he is determined to work to change the current stand of the team to reach international standards like those in Europe.
Brandon Mvura said he is prepared to go and change the whole system of the old formula of sports administration and bring along modern football management aspects which will lead to the team’s growth.
“I wish to go and make a great difference on the way sport is run locally and bring up-to-the-minute football management aspects which will lead to great development of Greenfuel football club and its growth,” said Mvura.
Mvura who is a holder of an advanced Diploma with Institute of Commercial Management ICM (UK), Degree in Project Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation with Great Zimbabwe University, as well as Marketing Diploma with Harare Polytechnic said for a club to reach greater heights in football they need excellence and for him being given that responsibility means to say he is one of the excellent administrators in the country as proven by his qualifications.
“My sports qualifications are that I am a holder of an Advanced Diploma from the Institute of Commercial Management ICM (UK), a Degree in Project Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation with Great Zimbabwe University as well as a Marketing Diploma with Harare Polytechnic.
“For a football club to develop they must have brilliant and capable administrators, for me being appointed as a new administrator at Greenfuel Football Club shows that my qualifications have proven and satisfied my new employer,” said Mvura.
Mvura said he is going to bring confidence, trust, and joy to the club’s stakeholders this time, and all the players, supporters, executives are going to see much change in the running of football as Greenfuel Football Club is going to be the first team to reach the post-commercialization stage in Zimbabwe before any other club locally.
Paida Madziro, Greenfuel team manager has said currently all is well with the appointment of Brandon Mvura as the team administrator and it is a blessing to the club as he is going to help develop the team as well as the community through his capabilities.
“As it stands everything is flowing in the right direction concerning the appointment of Mr Mvura, and it is an advantage to us to have someone like him as he is going to help the team and the community thrive,” said Madziro.
Madziro said last season the league ended with them being number 10 which is not a bad position as it was their first season being promoted into the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League, and this season they are eyeing for top five.
