This recall madness should stop

Zimbabwe is full of surprises ladies and gentlemen, I am sure mese mukuzvionawo. When I first heard about this Chabangu guy I thought maybe it was just one of the jokes on social media or maye achangoitawo hake like Sybeth but now tikutoona kuti akaregwa akabata demo anopedza miti yese. Yes someone should take that axe before he turns the forest into a desert. What is he doing recalling the people we voted for heee, what’s that. It has to stop now and I mean now. I can see someone is still in the election mode when all of us had accepted defeat, ah it’s not defeat, vanhu vakazongogamuchira kuti Zanu PF parigging chibaba vakati regai zvakadaro and now some1 starts again recalling people to send us into by-elections. We cannot be in election mode for the next five years. People need time to do other things like kutoitava chaiko. Tovaita nguvai tiri busy kufunga election. I think now you all see kuti our constitution is full of holes, how doeas it allow luti munhu akasarudzwa nevanhu to be recalled by some1. Hanzi if you cease to represent the party’s interests, which are those. Elected leaders serve the people’s interests not parties, that where we missed the whole game. Chete moti zvaidiiwo when the constitution was made by Mwonzora and Mangwana. They are the cul
I miss DR Gire zvangu, she would have called Chabangu to order, and she would have called him kuti iwe Chabangu, Chabangu, Chabangu huya pano. Baba let me tell you nezvaChabangu uyu, Chabangu, was atrade unionist who joined MDC when it was formed. He became Matebeleland North Provincial Youth Chairperson in 2006. He eventually became Mat North provincial Chairperson taking over from Senator Cup, ah sorry, I mean Komichi. He later joined the Renewal team and was in the standing committee under Biti. He came back to the main camp under PDP when MDC Alliance was formed. He campaigned flat out in 2018 and again when CCC was formed so musanyeperwa kuti haazikanwi, vanomuziva ava. Ndiye Chabangu uyu. But iwewe Chabangu, zvemarecalls zvawava kuita izvi you STOP IT kkkk. Dai Dr Gire varipo I tell you, nothing of this sort would have ever happened. I told you last week kuti Zanu PF is after 2/3rds majority mukaramba hino hezvo. Its hand is very visible, Mwonzora was used and dumped like a used condom now vakawanaimwe poto yekuridza.
On a serious note, we need to amend the constitution as soon as possible, the issue of recalls should be stopped at all costs. Remember some people left their work and paid bus fares to go and vote for some candidates who are now being recalled by this crazy guy. He has a mental issue and should be arrested and send to rehab because I am sure he is abusing a certain drug. No one in his right mind would copy what Togarasei did recently. We all saw the results, haana chaakawana after all. What does this Chabangu guy aiming to achieve by this. Zvino ZEC without EU funding vanozvigona? How was he allowed to just recall our very own Mayor Shantiel. kuRecaller Musikana sure. Asi chii nhai. I heard the girl wept bitterly when she received the letter. Kuchema chaiko, you think I am lying. Kana muchifunga ndonyepa go and ask the driver, hanzi uyu anonzi Chivafa. He is the one who delivered the bad news after she refused to come and collect it kuCouncil.
But I am sure she has learnt a lesson, munhu anoita upenyu hwebanga anofa nebanga kkk. She got in through the backdoor and here are the results. I have seen former Cllr Rocky is readying himself for the by-election, engaging Zesa here and there giving updates in different situations. But he warned you kuti you can’t take a person from the dust motomuti ndiye ava candidate. Hanzi I want justice zvino who knows, pamwe ndoJustice yacho which was sought by Rocky. If anyone is close to Rocky please tell him kuti bhora pasi, kwedu kwachirmudombo taiti dota pora imbwa ivate. After all Rocky and Chabangu were together kwaBiti kuPDP uko. It’s a calculated move I can see. But Masvingo Cllrs are all happy, they were whipped into line to vote for musikana but deep down vaisada zvavo.
I feel pity for Shantiel sure, she made history by becoming the first female mayor for Masvingo, The youngest Mayor in Masvingo and Zimbabwe at large then now she is becoming the shortest serving Mayor. Asi Chii neMsvingo and Gutu. Anyone care to remember about Chimedza. I mean Paul Chimedza? He was the youngest governor, from Gutu and become the shortest serving minister of state kkkk. So what’s gonna happen now, let’s say Chabangu succeeds to recall Musikana, then Mberi from Gutu will take over the reins? Imiwoye inga Gutu yakaoma. Remember kuZanuwo maMinisters ose ndeekwaGutu. Chitando, Muriwra, Chadzamira, Simbanegavi, Matuke and soon Paradza is coming in. when is the byelection by the way. We all know kana Chinobva aripo Shanty will bounce back so relax zvako musikana, all is well and all shall be well. I am sure she had not resigned kuPosvo, she can go back vofana kubata bata variko waiting for the date so that she bounces back again.
Anyway, pane anozivawo her kuti how the speaker of parliament is going to react to the Zanu PF Chabangu, uyu hanzi Tafadzwa Manyika. Is he related to the Nora Nora Singer? Pmawe iHama yacho who is avenging Elliot’s death kkk. Chete playing this card with Zanu PF is a mere waste of time nekutsvakawo relevance zvako. Look at Sybeth Musengezi, where is he? The matter could be still at court but still Trabablas wacho is still in power. We thought maybe SADC will help him but alas, it’s just a toothless bulldog as ever. Mumba tried his best but he has limits semunhuwo. Chetewo vanhu vanga vaakunyanya kufarira SADC yachowo.
I have seen Masvingo Town was busy with graduation ceremonies recently, Bondolfi, Masvingo Teachers then lastly GZU. Yes vafana vari kufara i saw a lot of make and mess Ups in town, vana vari kufara regai vapedze manew vendors apinde, vanga varipo vava nekamwe kakuonererwa so kkkk. Seka zvako Mapombi kuseka nhamo serugare. I thought Trabablas had only made a mistake to retain Mutuvi Ncube but I am just seeing kuti he made a grave mistake to retain Murwira. He is a useless professor and I wonder huProffessor hwacho akambohuwana kupi chaizvo. He is going around the country achipiwa ma allowances from the tax payers’ money to speak nonsense. He is telling teachers at graduation ceremonies that they need to create their own employment kkk. You want teachers to start private schools? nhaiwe Amon, can you come and explain to me and the whole country what you really mean when you say they should create employment for themselves. Why do you train them if the government can’t employ them? Why can’t we just train a reasonable number? Hee education 5.0, hee innovation hub, what is that. What has the 5.0 education achieved since inception? Mutikwanire imimi if you get a chance, nxaaa.
But naivo vafana vacho vanazvowo, hanzi tongoenda nyika inogona kuzonaka at least unenge une kapaper kako kkkk. Yes it’s good to dream like that but mmm, ini I nolonger have hope. I no longer have faith even in the Godisinit and the bible verses. But I like the enthusiasm with the graduates, I hear all the hotel and lodges in the ancient city were fully booked. Even paBackpackers and other brothels in town were full. I even offered my shack at Chitima market but they refused after they mistook me for a destitute which I am not.
Before I go hangu kunokanga maputi for lunch, let me tell you ladies and gentlemen, brace for a series of byelections, we are yet to see more recalls pambweri apo unless someone stops this Chabangu, ah ndakorekitwa, hanzi it’s not Chabangu but Tshabangu kkk, anyway, chero zvazvaita. First by election 9November musazoti handina kukuudzai kkkk Imboko Imboko !!!!

Masvingo Theatre and Arts Club Charles Austin Theatre is ready to play a drama written and produced by one of its club members Mhlauli Mlalazi at Charles Austin Theatre on October 21.
The film titled Brains over Emotions focuses on the challenges faced by people in marriages and offers various solutions.
Mlalazi said the drama is focused on educating people to use their mind to solve challenges they may be facing in their marriages than using emotions, saying the latter results in unwanted and unexpected regrettable consequences.
“Brains over Emotions is a drama which is more of a campaign focused on enlightening people to solve challenges they face in marriages. It encourages the affected to use their minds instead of emotions as those who use emotions end up being arrested or doing absurd things that are not acceptable in our society.
“So no matter how painful the situation might be let us try to use our minds so that we solve problems in a mindful and amicable way,” said Mlalazi.
The drama features a mixed bag of popular and upcoming actors and actresses with different backgrounds giving a chance to upcoming actors to share stages with successful ones.
Mlalazi said the drama is his first drama to be staged though he has written short films such as Tatenda and A letter to my nephew which were not premiered due to lack of resources.
“I have written a short film called Tatenda and another called A letter to my nephew, but because of resources they were not premiered or staged therefore, Brains Over Emotions is my first theatre drama to be staged,” he said.
He went on to call upon all local artists be it song writers, actors, singers or any other to utilize the theatre which he said was for artists not club committee members or Masvingo City Council.
“Charles Austin is giving all artists an opportunity and platform to nurture their talents and all those who do different works of art are welcome to the theatre to realize their full potential.
“The theatre is not for committee members or Masvingo City Council, but for all artists and the club is there to assist people cultivate their talents,” said Mlalazi.

Beverly Bizeki

MASVINGO – With barely two months in office, the newly elected youthful Masvingo City Mayor Shantiel Chiwara has been expelled by Local government and Public Works Minister Winston Chitando after her party Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) recalled her together with 16 others from Bulawayo, Matebeleland North and South, and Epworth.
Chiwara is the only one affected councilor in Masvingo province from the recalls by one Sengezo Tshabangu who claims to be CCC’s interim secretary general.
In a letter dated October 18, 2023 Chitando said he was acting on the letter he had received from the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) party which stated that 17 councilors from Bulawayo, Matabeleland North and South, Epworth and Masvingo had ceased to be members of the party.
“I wish to inform you that I am in receipt of a letter from the CCC stating that the following councilors have ceased to be members of the CCC political party.
The 12 members from Bulawayo are Shepherd Sithole, Nkosinathi Hove Mpofu, Donaldson Mabutho, Takunda Felix Madzana, Simbarashe Dube, Tinevimbo Maphosa, Thobeka Mmeli and Arnold Batirai while the other four from women’s quota are Sarah Cronje, Tabeth Mhizha, Dorcas Sibanda and Tshongwe Zibusiso.
The other four members are Granger Nyoni and Gugu Ncube both from Matabeleland South, Mbiri Maundura from Matabeleland North and Anna Sande from Epworth and Masvingo’s Chiwara to make them 17.
“In terms of Section 278(1) of the constitution of Zimbabwe as read with section (1) (k) the above mentioned wards are now vacant,” reads Chitando’s letter.
Chiwara’s expulsion from the local authority leaves Masvingo West Ward 2 vacant and ZEC is expected to announce dates for a by-election.
CCC has been on record disowning Tshabangu whom they called an impostor.
Masvingo Town Clerk Engineer Edward Mukaratirwa said in a comment he was yet to receive the letter from Chitando.
“I am yet to receive the letter from the Minister of Local Government,” said Mukaratirwa.
Contacted for a comment, Chiwara said she had not received any formal communication by the time of writing.
“I have not received any formal communication yet from the ministry but I have only heard about the expulsion on social media.
“The party is pursuing the matter legally and politically,” said Chiwara.
Tshabangu also ordered for the recall of 15 CCC Members of Parliament and the Speaker of Parliament had since expelled the affected legislators.

Use of aphrodisiacs on the rise – police

TellZim Reporter

Masvingo Police have lamented the use of sex enhancing drugs (Aphrodisiacs) mostly by men in Masvingo with surveys showing that it has become a drug abuse issue in the district.
This was revealed by Masvingo Central Detective Inspector Hazvinei Jindu at Masvingo Family Fest, an event that was held at Masvingo Sports Club cricket ground on the 7th of October 2023.
Jindu said sex enhancing drugs were being abused in the same way other narcotics were being abused by youths in the streets and the number of men using sex enhancing drugs continue to rise.
“During a research we conducted, we found out that there has been a rapid increase in men and boys using sex enhancing drugs. The reasons being that women are said to be complaining of being sex starved and not being satisfied. This forces men to seek advice from peers who then advise them to use the drugs.
She said during raids hey have recovered a number of the sex enhancing drugs like ‘Congo dust’, AK-47’, manhood enlarging gel and ‘cobra 120’ adding that continued use of ‘Congo dust’ was deadly and continuous use may result in one failing to have an erection without it.
“Congo dust is said to be deadly, as it affects sperm production and sperm quality and this results in infertility and giving birth to children with special needs like down-syndrome and also resulst in men failing to perform sexual duties properly without using drugs,” said Jindu.
She said as police they were urging men to desist from using the drugs saying they expose women to cervical cancer and prostate cancer in men.
“We urge men and boys to desist from using sex enhancing drugs. Men are spending seven hours doing the act and this is causing cervical cancer in women,” said Jindu.
She added that the sex-enhancing drugs were also being used in schools and have resulted in school pupils having group sex and urged parents to avoid giving their children excess pocket money.
“Parents please don’t give your children too much pocket money. They are using that money to get drugs and they end up organizing vuzu parties at schools,” Jindu said.
She also said women were using skin lightening cream, pills and injections to enhance their beauty as a result causing health problems such as skin cancer.
She advised members of the public to contact the police if they have any information on people who sell and abuse drugs.
Ngomahuru and Masvingo Provincial hospitals are being used as rehabilitation centers for people drug addicts

Hitting the ground running: Councilor addresses perennial water challenges

Staff Reporter

RENCO MINE – The new Masvingo South’s ward 25 councilor who is also the first opposition councilor in the ward since 1980 Tarusenga Mapamba seem to have hit the ground running as he is putting solutions to water challenges in some parts of the ward.
Though he said they were just short term solutions while putting measure in place to have long term solutions, the move has been described by many as noble especially when the country is grappling with cholera outbreak.
Disaster was looming at Masarasara primary school where teachers and pupils endured the scotching sun without water for some weeks and the councilor intervened by engaging Renco Mine to provide water for the school with a bowser.
“I was invited for a meeting at the school which was meant to discuss the water challenge issue, I was told that they had sunk a 50 meter solar powered borehole which only served the school for three months. They then engaged other stakeholders who failed to help them.
“People raised different solutions like flushing the existing borehole or find a new site to sink a new one.
“That is when I said while we wait for a lasting solution let me engage the mine to help since we are in a cholera epidemic and the situation would force teachers to transfer to other schools and we would lose experienced teachers. So the mine agreed and the current arrangement is that mine delivers a 15000 litre bowser every Tuesday,” said Mapamba.
Mapamba went on to say he had facilitated for the repair of Mukazi borehole and have since engaged some guy who fixes boreholes to look into one that is in Chiponda village.
“I facilitated for the fixing of Mukazi borehole which had not been working for a long time, I have asked the guy to look at the one in Chiponda which is also not working,” said Mapamba
He also said through his intervention, the mine provided a water bowser twice a week in Chiponda and Ruchicha villages.
“Every Monday and Friday water bowsers are delivered to Chiponda and Ruchicha villages and villagers are getting safe water from there,” said Mapamba
