10 Feb 2017 – MASVINGO – A fourth year Reformed Church in Zimbabwe (RCZ) student pastor at Murray Theological College at Morgenster Mission, Emmah Machingura Mutisi has released her debut eight-track album which features Blessing Shumba.
The album, titled Usacheme, was released earlier this year, with Shumba featuring on the second track ‘Chiedza’ which is a dedication to her late aunt Chiedza Mutisi who passed on while on her way to Emmah’s wedding in 2015.
Mutisi said the album encourages people to look up to the Lord Jesus Christ in all their troubles.
“People encounter hardships daily so the album is an advice to always put your trust to the Lord for he is the solution for all our worries,” said Mutisi.
She said the song ‘Chiedza’ revisits the distraught the family suffered when their aunt passed on.
“Chiedza wakaenda usina kuoneka, Dai wakatiudza takaziva zvekuita (Chiedza you left without saying good bye, had you informed us earlier we could have done something),” goes part of the lyrics.
The album was produced by Olin Anderson at Kunashe Studio records in Mutare and it also contains two tracks from the RCZ hymn book.
She thanked Point of View Fashions for her lending her some support in the project which she vowed to continue with in her career.
“I would like to express my gratitude to Point of View Fashions for the financial support and also my husband Phineas Mutisi, who is also my manager, for supporting the project which I will carry forward in my career as a musician,” added Mutisi.entertainment
