US Embassy conducts business workshop in Masvingo

MASVINGO – Small-scale entrepreneurs in Masvingo were left enriched by entrepreneurial knowledge they received during a business workshop organised by the US Embassy at the Civic Centre on Tuesday under the theme ‘Grow Your Business’.
Participants from the business sector shared with others their experiences and the challenges they face in building sustainable businesses.
US Embassy staff Kenneth Mangemba emphasised the need to observe financial discipline, keep records and have basic financial training if a business is to find its footing.
“For your businesses to thrive, it has to be registered and you need to be able to manage resources by separating business finances from personal money. You need to have a business account and your own personal account as well basic financial training.
TellZim News director Golden Maunganidze who presented on strategies for business growth, advised entrepreneurs to associate themselves with people who matter in their business and to maintain high levels of professionalism all the time.
Angeline Mikiri, who is the United Nations Ambassador for Women Entrepreneurship in Zimbabwe, said it was essential for start-ups to receive the kind of skills that are needed to build successful enterprises.business
