Gospel diva Doreen Chikuni (40) has dropped a six-track album ‘Jehova Vanonzwa’ which was released in March.
In 2004, Chikuni joined the Awake the Hap group but later decided to embark on her own project which saw her releasing her first album in 2004.
Jehova Vanonzwa becomes Chikuni’s third album, having released her first album Chinjikano in 2004, and her second Wakoshei in 2008.
Chikuni’s latest release features her popular song Jesu handidi naye which has received significant air play on national radio stations.
Speaking to TellZim News, Chikuni, a mother of five said she started singing in church choirs and was inspired by the Charamba family to join the music industry.
“I developed the passion for music when I was still in primary where I would sing in church choirs,”
“My auntie, Romania Jasi, motivated me and I was inspired by the Charamba family to join the music industry as a gospel artist,” said Chikuni.
