15 year-old Triangle boy drowns in well

A 15-year-old boy from Masela village, herdman Zamba, chief Chitanga in Triangle, Masvingo drowned in a well on April 18, 2022.
Masvingo provincial police spokesperson Inspector Kudakwashe Dhewa confirmed the incident and said the now deceased Shadreck Maunga left home at around 0730 hours to fetch water in a nearby well with two 20 liter buckets.
After filling the first bucket, he fell into the 20 meter deep well and drowned.
The well is reportedly seven meters full.
Shamiso Mafopo from the same village who had seen him, heard some noise from about 150 meters away from the well and called people for help.
The villagers managed to retrieve the body and the matter was reported to Mupapa police base near Triangle and police discovered that the boy had a fractured right leg and a deep wound on the back of the head.
Recently, on April 3, 2022 a 38-year-old man Darlington Macharaga from Sengwe village under Chief Sengwe in Chikombedzi drowned in the Limpopo River after helping illegal border jumpers cross into South Africa.
