25 MArch 2017, GUTU – Masvingo property developer, Tichaona Revai Sithole, was last week unanimously seconded to the National Executive of the National People’s Party (NPP) at a meeting which was held at the Madondo Tafara Hotel in Mpandawana.
Sithole polled 19 votes against John Dauramanzi’s 11 to secure the sole ticket to represent the five constituencies in Gutu at national level.
District executive members from the five constituencies participated in the election with members from the provincial executive also taking part.
After Sithole’s nomination Jeffreyson Chitando, the party’s Information secretary said the whole process had shown that democracy existed in the party saying everybody was satisfied with the result.
Sithole is not new on the political arena as he has contested for the Gutu East parliamentary seat before. He had been a member of various political parties including Zanu PF, Zapu and the MDC before joining the NPP.
