Kwekwe-Ruvimbo Central Soccer League outfit Kwekwe United has appointed former Warriors soccer star and legend Agent Sawu as their new Head coach.
Sawu takes over reins from Beknown Mhlangeni who was in charge with the club currently positioned 8th on log standings after securing five points from four matches.
Kwekwe Club Secretary Francis Tavagadza confirmed the development which he says was necessitated by the desire to achieve the club’s season targets.
“Agent Sawu is our new head coach and his appointment is with immediate effect.
“We felt that the coaches we had did not have the capability to reach the set targets, which is the reason why we made the changes,” said Tavagadza.
He further revealed that the club is also moving away from Baghdad stadium to Ziscosteel in Redcliff for their home games.
“The change of our home ground was cost related, it was more expensive to host matches at Baghdad than at the Ziscosteel club.
“On the business side, there are more opportunities at Zisco for us to do various initiatives that can help us generate more income,” said Tavagadza.
Another Warriors star Ronald Sibanda comes in as the team manager as Sawu was granted room to select his assistant coaches.
