Black Label Pool National Champions crowned

Carling Black Label Pool Championships national finalists for the 2023 tournament have been crowned with eight winners from male and female category walking away with cash prizes on July 8, 2023.

The final match which was held at Flamboyant Hotel recently saw the first prize from the female segment going to Patricia Ganya who won US $1500 and a pool table.

Alice Chihota scooped the second price of US$1000, Mercy Musekiwa took the third position walked away with US$500 and Jamila Mpondi was on fourth position and walked home US$250 richer.

On the male category, Lindani Gumpo took the first price of US$1500 and a pool table. On second position was Vincent Mufudza who walked away with US$1000.

Francisco Lunga took the third position and wonUS$500 while Thanks Matamba took the fourth position.

In a statement, Carling Black Label said the brand was committed to the development of sport in the country.

“Sports continue to play a role in building communities and resonates well with the brand’s manifesto to inspire and rally individuals into being better versions of themselves whenever possible,” reads the statement.

This year’s tournament had 128 players, 64 men and 64 women from across the country and has been going on for ten years.
