Zimbabwe Football Association (Zifa) Eastern Region Division One side, 011 Stars FC were on Sunday given yet another baptism of fire by big boys Masvingo Pirates FC; losing the match 5-1 at Mucheke Stadium.
The Chatsworth-based side were a few weeks ago walloped 8-0 at the hands of fellow debutants and log leaders, Manica Diamonds FC.
At Mucheke Stadium, the youthful side experienced yet another bad day with ‘Dzinochekwa Baba’ scoring the many goals to secure the maximum three points.
Caleb Masocha, Albert Zvavarungu, Washington Ncube, Tapera Machiel and former Caps United midfielder Pervington Zimunya were the most mentioned names for Pirates, while 011 Stars got their consolation goal through their opponents’ own goal.
Pirates assistant coach, Billiard Muchenje hailed his charges for the superb performance and credited hard work for the remarkable win.
"Thumps up to the guys. They have been working hard in training and they applied that in the match, so we definitely deserved the win," said Muchenje.
In Mutare, the derby match between Manica Diamonds and army side Buffaloes ended one nil in favour of the log leaders.
On Saturday, another local team, Masvingo United finally won their first match under Wilson Chinosengwa; beating Prime Rangers to give the coach some reprieve.
This coming weekend will see the log leaders Manica Diamonds clashing with Pirates at Mutare Boys High School.sport

Mucheke Social League log leaders, De Sisk FC last weekend continued their excellent run by defeating FC Vic Ranch 1-0 in an encounter played at Mucheke B Arena.
This leaves the log leaders and second-placed MoreFire FC, who also defeated Fairdeal 2-0 in their own weekend encounter, on the same position with 52 points from 24 matches each.
The two teams are separated by a wide 43-27 goal difference which leaves De Sisk on top of the log standings.
Speaking to TellZim News in an interview, De Sisk top striker Taurai Mudzviti said they had a good calibre of players and looked forward to continuing in their excellent form.
"We are on top of the log standings but it is not an easy race. We have the finest talent; everyone is in form and we hope to continue with our superb run so that we emerge the winners," said Mudzviti.
MoreFire head coach, Philip Java expressed confidence in his team and said they were in a good position to win the title as long as fair play prevailed.
"So far so good because we have been playing well. We are tied on 52 points with De Sisk and if the boys continue playing well, nothing can stop us from winning the trophy. If fair play continues, we will experience good quality football," said Java.
In other encounters played at the same venue, Flying Eagles thrashed Yavakomana 3-1 and moved to the third position on the log standings with 51 points, while Chivara FC drew 1-1 with Pangolin FC and dropped to number four.

Princess Makunzva (18) is a new jazz musician who wants to conquer the industry starting by her debut five-track album, Chinonzirega, which she released August 11.
Makunzva is currently giving full focus to her new music career, having finished her secondary education at Zengeza 2 High School last year.
Songs on the album, which was released at Mubaiwa Hotel (formerly Nyamutamba) in the presence of many guests, are Mhiri kwemakungwa, Vari mudande, Une rudo, Mwana anoita rombe and the title track hit Chinonzirega.
The album was produced by one of Zimbabwe’s fast rising music producer, TonFresh and it was well-received by the hundreds of fans who graced its launch.
 “I wanted to release a four-track album but I then talked to Biggie Tembo who made me realise that I actually had more to share with Zimbabwe. That is how it ended being a five-track album which I hope will carry my name far and wide,” said Makunzva.
Tembo helped Makunzva in the production of album, supporting her all the way till the album’s release. 
“She is undeniably talented and has a knack for understanding what a musician needs and what will work in an industry that is so competitive,” said Tembo
Makunzva also told TellZim News she was looking forward to releasing her second album before end of this year.
“It was a dream come true releasing my first album and I am looking forward to releasing my second album before end of this very year. The journey has been difficult and was fraught with many obstacles but I am glad that I managed to overcome them with the support of my family and friends,” she said.entertainment

Privilege Chitukutuku (27) and Farai Maronda (36), of Glenview 3 and Glenview 4 in Harare, on Tuesday appeared before Masvingo provincial magistrate Langton Ndokera accused of stealing three bundles of running earth wire at the local Zesa depot.
Maronda and Chitukutuku were each sentenced to six months in prison but two months of each’s sentence were suspended on condition that they do not commit a similar crime over the next five years.
It was the State’s case that on September 18, Maronda and Chitukutuku travelled from Harare to Masvingo and went on to steal copper cables at the depot.
Upon arriving at the depot, they used a pliers to cut the razor wire and a metal ladder to gain entry into the premises.
They then stole three bundles of running earth wire and rolled it but were later on intercepted by the security guards manning the premise who had heard the thieves’ voices.
Maronda was arrested on the scene and Chitukutuku managed to escape but was later arrested after a follow up was made by the police.
The stolen and recovered cable was valued at US$75.
