ZVISHAVANE – Stock feeds company, Capital Foods has extended its sphere of influence by opening a new branch in the mining town of Zvishavane.
The company boasts 34 other outlets that offer a variety of stock feeds at affordable prices elsewhere in the country.
Speaking at the launch of the new shop, Capital Foods sales director Owen Nyoni said Zvishavane offers enormous potential for such business as poultry keeping due to the area’s suitable climate.
“We have realised that this area has favourable weather conditions that promote poultry keeping so we saw it fit to open an outlet which will serve the area’s poultry, livestock and stock feed needs at affordable prices,” said Nyoni.
The shop, which is located at Mandava turnoff, along Zvishavane- Masvingo road, is set to offer the best in stock feeds and poultry, including quails (zvihuta).
The new outlet’s opening ceremony saw members of the public being taught proper and safe ways of keeping their poultry.
They were given tips on administering medicines and vaccines to their livestock and chickens.
Capital foods also promised to sponsor a YA FM radio programme every Thursday which will be dedicated to discussions on livestock diseases prevention and control as well as teaching farmers effective ways of treating those diseases.news
