Music producer Largest Billion Coles, real name Thomas Bhemba Mavasa, is making waves in South Africa through his impressive talent.
Mavasa was born 30 years ago in Makhosiya under Chief Chilonga in Chiredzi.
His studio is managed by Tawanda Macheke and he has produced more than 40 Mzansi-based hip-hop and dancehall artistes from Zimbabwe and Mozambique. He works with Shadreck “Xifu” Makondo and Flexible Lihinga in his productions.
Speaking to TellZim News from his GaRankuwa base in Pretoria, Mavasa said he was satisfied with the talent that Zimbabwe artistes have.
“I have produced talented artistes from home especially lady singers and I am confident their future in the music industry is bright,” he said.
He appealed to promoters in Gauteng province to consider upcoming artistes when organising shows.
“Promoters are many but they sometimes have their own favourite artistes. I appeal to them to consider a new artistes,” Mavasa said.
He also urged upcoming musicians to take their work seriously.
“Sometimes, promoters get frustrated by how some of the artistes conduct their business. Musicians should create good images in order to acquire good air play on radio stations,” he said.
