Former GZU Chaplain dies

Long-serving Great Zimbabwe University (GZU) former Chaplain Retired Rev. Dr Anos Rex Mutumburanzou passed on October 10, 2024 at 24hour Medical Clinic in Zimre Park, Masvingo after a long illness.
He died at the age of 78 and is survived by his wife, four children, two sons, two daughters and six grandchildren.
GZU Communications Director, Anderson Chipatiso confirmed Dr. Mutumburanzou’s demise and said he had not been well for some time.
“I heard he passed on early this morning at 24 hr Clinic in Zimre Park Masvingo. He was not feeling well for quite some time,” said Chipatiso.
Dr. Mutumburanzou was a Reverend with Reformed Church in Zimbabwe (RCZ) and served as Institutional Chaplain at Great Zimbabwe University (GZU) for about fifteen years before his retirement.
The late Rev Dr Mutumburanzou was a dedicated leader in serving the church according to some church members who worked with him.
