Lalapanzi man up for raping minor

Tyson Miti (44) of Stand Number 4 Rostern village Tokwe in Lalapanzi appeared before magistrate Morgan Nemadire facing rape as defined in Section 65 of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act Chapter 9.23.
Prosecutor Kelvin Guvheya charged that on April 04, 2016 at around 15:00 hrs in the grazing lands of Musavadha Village Tokwe 4, Lalapanzi, the accused approached the 15-year-old girl where she was seated. 
Miti greeted the complainant who responded. He then held the complainant’s left hand, forced her up, produced a knife and ordered the complainant to stay quiet.
He then dragged the accused to a nearby stream were he tackled her down and laid her down on her back.
He removed the complainant’s pants, took a condom from his left pocket and raped the girl.
The girl later narrated the rape ordeal to her sister who then accompanied her to the police station, leading to the arrest of Miti.
A medical report compiled at Gweru Provincial Hospital was presented to the court as an exhibit.
The accused was remanded in custody for finalisation of the case.
