Medics challenged to guard against complacency

Headquarters 4 Infantry Brigade’s Troop Medics Course number 01/2016 came to an end on 16 September 16, with all the medical fraternity being challenged to guard against complacency as they are likely going to have rust.
This was said by the Brigade Major (BM) Major Espedito Machingauta on the graduation of twenty-three (23) students of 4 Field Ambulance Company. The course which ran for 16 weeks started on 30 May 2016 with a capacity of 25 students drawn from units under command and the Zimbabwe Republic Police subscribed eight students 3 females and 5 males, two students could not make it due to under-performance.
During the course, the students covered both theory and practical lessons that included first aid, basic nursing skills, basic anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, peer education and Civil Military Relations (CMR).
“Let me hasten to say that the knowledge you have acquired here should set you on the path for further medical courses. This implies that you have to continue practicing in the various medical inspection rooms and camp clinics, as constant practice is crucial in your career,” said Major Machingauta.
The overall best student was Constable Verna Nyazire of ZRP Masvingo rural. The event was attended by the Senior Medical Officer 4 Infantry Brigade Major Magadzire Matsvaire, Senior Nursing Officer Captain Paul Zvingoperepi, Deputy Senior Nursing Officer Captain John Makumire as well as the Officer-in-charge Zimuto Camp Clinic Inspector Nicholas Charumangwe.news
