MASVINGO – Young gospel diva, Admire Nago, stole the headlines on Friday night at the Zvishavane Midlands Music Awards (ZMMA) after walking away with two prestigious awards, the best gospel artist of the year and best gospel video.
The Wandigadza hitmaker had to beat competition from three other artists, Minister Taku, Victor Angel and Emmanuel Mazarura.
Nago’s trending Nhovo video, which was produced by Inspired Arts Media, won the best gospel video shrugging off competition from Travolta Guy and Masnacka.
Nago said he was humbled by the recognition and thanked his colleagues at Great Zimbabwe University (GZU) for helping him to shoot the video.
“I am so humbled to receive this kind of recognition. Walking away with two awards is not a joke but a true reflection of hard work and determination in my work and it really means a lot to me.
“I would like to thank my fellow media students at Great Zimbabwe University who stood with me in shooting this video at Mashava Campus,” said Nago.
Nago’s Nhovo video has received airplay on ZBC gospel mix and his other songs like Wandigadza and Hossana are topping on various radio chats.entertainment
