Masvingo – As part of their corporate social responsibility, NicozDiamond Insurance Company on Tuesday extended a helping hand to the Mucheke Old People’s home by donating groceries and cleaning equipment aimed at improving their daily lives.
NicozDiamond Masvingo branch controller, Benedict Betera said the company was making these donations in order to improve the lives of the less privileged.
“As NicozDiamond we feel happy to be associated with Mucheke Old People’s home through these donations and we promise to come back every year to help you.
“We believe every community should take care of their elders because at some point in time everyone will pass through that stage if God gives us the gift of life. We may not have donated all the things that may be in deficit here but we believe this token will go a long way in making sure that our elderly will have a better living,” said Betera.
Mucheke Old People’s home superintendent Reverend Matopos Chaka expressed his profound gratitude to the kind gesture by NicozDiamond.
“What has been done here today shows that the society has matured and we hope that others out there will emulate what NicozDiamond has done today,” said Rev Chaka.local
