ZVISHAVANE – Zimbabwe’s leading integrated financial services group, Old Mutual, on Wednesday commissioned a world class one stop financial services shop in the Midlands mining town of Zvishavane.
The service centre, known as the Green Zone, gives customers the convenience of accessing Old Mutual services and products under one roof.
Old Mutual Group Chief Executive Officer, Jonas Mushosho, said his organisation was on a drive to bring world class service to customers.
“Our customers have stood with us for many generations for over a century. Together we went through two world wars, the liberation struggle, several droughts, record hyperinflation, to mention some of the key events.
“The successes and challenges we encountered have helped create a strong bond between Old Mutual and its clients. It is in recognition of this intrinsic relationship that Old Mutual is investing into world class customer service centers such as the one we are commissioning today,” said Mushosho.
The Zvishavane service centre is a mini version of the bigger Green Zones that were opened in Harare in 2013 and more recently in Bulawayo.
Mushosho said 2016 was turning out to be an exciting one for Old Mutual’s customers as the group was all out to meet their expectations in spite of the prevailing economic difficulties.
“While many have retracted into their shells in response to the current challenging economic environment, it is full steam ahead for Old Mutual.”
Mushosho said Old Mutual was drawing from its experience, garnered over many decades since 1895, to firmly entrench its position as Zimbabwe’s leading integrated financial services group.
“Our customers in Zvishavane and its environs have every reason to claim bragging rights as this Mini Green Zone is the first such service centre to be established in smaller urban centres.
The Mini Green zones, CABS; which is an Old Mutual subsidiary, and the rest of the company’s business units are under one roof.
Prior to the opening of the new service centre, Old Mutual was represented CABS ,in Zvishavane.
“Our investment in this mining town was well thought out –it is in recognition of the support Old Mutual have consistently received from this community .Today we are saying ‘Thank you’, for your loyalty and commitment to Old Mutual”.
The Green Zone concept is part a strategy by Old Mutual Zimbabwe limited to bring closer co-operation and synergy among group companies.
