Sandon Academy pupils in China

TellZim Reporter

GUTU – While other ordinary schools often organise trips to places like Victoria Fall, Kariba, Chinhoyi Caves and other local destinations, the extraordinary Sandon Academy recently took its pupils to China on an educational trip.
Sandon Academy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Lovemore Matuke said the trip was meant to inspire pupils to embrace change in a fast evolving world.
“There is unprecedented advancement in technology so it was important that children get first-hand experience of where the world is going technologically. We want to nurture global pupils who have a better appreciation of the world around us,” said Matuke.
He said the exposure will challenge pupils into studying hard so that they can be part of the elite class that is changing the world.
“Every person needs to be pushed or motivated by something. As you may know, China is a technological power house which can inspire our pupils.
“That way, pupils come to understand the seriousness of the world so that they can be motivated to study hard for them to influence similar development,” said Matuke.education
