03 April 2017, MWENEZI – A Mwenezi carpenter was last week admitted at Neshuro District Hospital with severe burns after hot water was poured on him allegedly by his wife who suspected he was having an extra marital affair.
Isaac Dziva’s wife reportedly became suspicious after her husband failed to return home after work but sources say Dziva had failed to go back home for the night because the river between his workplace and home had become flooded.
Dziva does his business at Neshuro growth point but he lives at his rural home Mapungubwe village under Chief Neshuro.
When contacted for comment, Dziva said he was not ready to give a detailed comment.
“I am recovering from the wounds and I am too busy to clarify…pandiri pakaipa call me tomorrow,” said Dziva but repeated efforts to get his side of the story proved fruitless.
Sources privy to the incident, however, told TellZim News that Dziva got into trouble with his wife for spending the night away.
“When Dziva finally made it home, went to bath but his wife is said to have followed him with boiling water which she poured onto his backside.
“There was a lot of mistrust between the two. She is his fifth wife so it seems she was already suspecting that her husband was having an adulterous affair somewhere,” said a source.local, top news
