FC Wangu Mazodze popularly known as Zhalala Zhululu on June 22, 2022 unveiled seven new faces that have been added to their squad ahead of the still tight race towards Premier Soccer League (PSL) promotion.
Zhalala Zhululu head Coach Taku Shariwa is hopeful that the changes will bring good fortune to the team during the final half of the campaign.
“The players joining in are bringing vast experience and will induce competition. This increases efficiency and keeps the upward trajectory,” said a buoyant Shariwa.
The team’s spokesperson Sukuoluhle Ndlovu said the ‘Kingdom’ is pleased to welcome the seven new players into the Zhalala Zhululu rank and file.
“The new players joining the Kingdom Boys are Tatenda Chihava (right back) from Masvingo United, Guidance Chirinda (left back) from Lowveld United Passmore Mupingajira (striker) from Bikita Minerals Marc Sean Murambiwa (defensive midfielder), from Friendly Academy Micheal Chingarande (striker) from Chiredzi Stars FC. Tawedzerwa Guranungo (goalkeeper) from Dindingwe and Adrian Zivave (left back) from Chiredzi Stars,” said Ndlovu in a press release.

The new Kingdom Boys players made their debut appearance in Mutare on June 24, 2022 against Mutare City at Sakubva Stadium.
The team also revealed that they have 11 departures.
The Zhalala Zhululu family also said they are saddened by the decamping of players who made sure Zhalala Zhululu performed to its best.
“We are saddened to part ways with players who made sure Zhalala Zhululu performed at its best. Their efforts are greatly and hugely appreciated,” added part of the statement.
Zhalala Zhululu in their last home match won against Renco Mine with 2-1 at Mucheke stadium (June 18,2022).
