A dark cloud hung over Zaka District last weekend after four people perished in an accident which occurred at 68km peg along Roy- Chiredzi road.
The four died on the spot people while six were injured.The deceased and the injured were all taken to Musiso Mission Hospital.
Confirming the incident on their official twitter page, the Zimbabwe Republic Police said the vehicle veered off the road and overturned twice.
“The ZRP confirms a fatal road traffic which occurred on 16/06/23 at the 68 kilometre peg along Roy-Chiredzi road in which for people were killed while six others were injured when a Toyota Wish vehicle with ten passengers on board veered off the road to the left before overturning twice,” reads the tweet.
A number of traffic accidents have been recorded in the same road as it is in a very bad state.
