A Great Zimbabwe University student mysteriously went missing two weeks ago and his parents and fellow colleagues have since started to send messages on Whatsapp in search of him, TellZim News has learnt.
The shocking incident is said to have taken place days before the GZU end of semester examinations commenced.  Tinashe Makotose who is a first year student studying for a Bachelor of Education Degree went missing after leaving the school in a Nissan Bluebird which belonged to his parents.
Since then, the missing student has not been seen and his whereabouts are yet to be established. Great Zimbabwe University Public Relations Officer, Anderson Chipatiso, confirmed the incident though he said he was not aware of what happened to the student before he went missing.
“There is a B.Ed. student who has not been reporting for exams and his parents are looking for him but I do not know what happened to him,” he said.
Acting Masvingo Provincial Spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Kudakwashe Dhewa, declined to comment on the issue saying no report had been made to the police concerning the missing student.news
