MASVINGO-Africa Minerals Ventures (AMV) has raised concerns over alleged disturbances
involving supporters following its goalless draw against Power FC at Gaths Mine Stadium on
September 13, 2026.
The concerns were raised on the club’s official social media page, where AMV posted a video
alleging that police left a gate open, allowing some Power FC supporters to enter the pitch during
the match.
The post attracted reactions from AMV supporters, with some calling for the matter to remain
about football rather than violence.
“The Premier Soccer League will not be achieved through this. You have become used to
getting things for free. Play football, not violence,” said one of the supporters.
The allegations came after AMV and Power FC shared the points in a 0-0 draw, with Power FC
hosting the match at Gaths Mine Stadium.
Power FC head coach Kevin Tembani said his team followed instructions but failed to convert its
chances.
“My team played according to instructions, and we got a precious point. We were not clinical in
front of goal because we created our chances and failed to convert,” said Tembani.
Tembani is now targeting maximum points when Power FC face Four Lions at Mucheke
Stadium on Saturday.
“My target in the next game is to collect maximum points against Four Lions at Mucheke
Stadium. The game will be on Saturday,” he said.
He also urged supporters to continue backing the team and trust the process.
“My message to the fans is that they must keep rallying behind us and trust the process. Results
will come our way,” said Tembani.
