BIKITA – Former Zaka and
Gutu District Schools Inspector (DSI) James Mahofa has been reassigned to head
Bikita district, TellZim News has learnt.
Mahofa confirmed
the development saying he got into his new office on October 26, replacing
Chioneso Maradza who held the position on acting basis since the death of
Zacharia Makopa last year.
“Yes I can
confirm that I am now DSI for Bikita and I assumed duty on the 26th
of last month,” said Mahofa.
He said his hope
was to bring more value to the district’s education sector by building upon the
work done by his predecessor.
“I am going to
bring in valuable insight and move the district to greater heights. I do
appreciate the efforts made by the previous team and I hope to work with
everybody as a formidable team and as one family with one love, without anybody
undermining anyone in any way. My belief is to take human relations seriously
ad allow the almighty Lord to lead the way always,” said Mahofa.
Mahofa is not
new to the district as he once worked there as an administrator between 1996
and 2010.
His office in Gutu
has since been given to Ronald Muganho who had been heading Insiza district in
Matabeleland.
Mahofa was DSI for Zaka until 2016 when he was
transferred to Gutu when all DSIs were shuffled.
