Mboto and his secretary

TellZim Reporter

MUTARE – Farai Mboto has been re-elected Manicaland Volleyball chairperson at a meeting presided over by the Sports and Recreation Commission (SRC)’s Shupikai Berejena at Pafiwa Mutasa High School recently.
Mboto was first elected in 2012 at Mutare Museum and his re-election means he will oversee volleyball activities in Manicaland until 2020.
Speaking to TellZim News, Mboto said that he was happy to be given another chance on the steer ring.
“I’m sincerely grateful for nomination and pleased to accept the chairperson’s post for Manicaland province. I realise and understand the scale of the task before me and my executive.  This nomination comes as a big vote of confidence that people have in me and I promise to guard it jealously.
He will be deputised by Hector Kabhunu of Nyanga and Charles Sakala of Mutare Boys High School.
Mutare Poly’s Hapison Mangezi is now the new secretary general while James Bore is the treasurer. Brenda Matsiya is the gender portion member while Denford Mudiwa is the athletes’ representative.
Samuel Berejena, Mambure Mercy and Tinashe Muzondo are committee members.
Mboto said he was looking forward to start a vibrant provincial league since Manicaland is lagging behind other provinces.sport
