10 Feb 2017 – MWENEZI – The Zion Christian Church (ZCC)-run Hebron High School continues to shine as an emblem of academic excellence, with the school’s colourful performance in the 2016 ‘A’ Level examinations bearing that testimony.
While some established centres of learning are still struggling to reach the 100 percent mark, for Hebron High School, it has become part of tradition and a trademark since 2013.
All the 10 subject areas were passed with a 100 percent score mark save for Geography and Accounting which recorded a 96 percent and 92 percent pass rate respectively.
School head, Mukora Mazvazva expressed gratitude to Hebron High School staff for their hard work and unparalled vigour in pursuit of excellence
“The commitment of our staff, and their unity of purpose and dedication is unequalled and it has kept the school flag high,” said Mazvazva.
Through dedication, team spirit and commitment to hard work, the staff at Hebron has been able to defeat geographical isolation to be among the best schools in the whole country.
The school is located on the fringes of Mwenezi district, so much that stakeholders often tend to associate the school more with the Midlands than Masvingo province.
The school’s spiritual guide, Dr Bishop Nehemiah Mutendi has been a key vital coordinate for the achievement of the colourful results.
Dr Bishop Mutendi has, over the years, emphasised that for those with an appetite for high achievement, there is no obstacle too big to overcome.
The Bishop’s powerful sermon on the Speech and Prize Giving Day in October, 2016 set a strong base for motivation.
He referred to the 1913 prophecy by the late Reverend Samuel Mutendi who saw in spirit that the ZCC brand will be catapulted to the apex of success, rising higher than no other as it is stated in Isaiah chapter 2 vs 3.
This has added moral uprightness; a component which became a key ingredient in the performance of Hebron’s 2016 ‘A’ Level classes.news
