29 JAn 2017 – CHIVHU – A Church Administrator with the Apostolic Faith Mission (AFM)’s Chivhu town assembly, was recently shamed after his wife allegedly busted his adulterous affairs with a married woman who is a member of the same church.
The administrator has since resigned his responsibilities at church and has also been publicly stripped of his duties at provincial level where he was also an administrator.
It is said that the administrator, who is also a Public Prosecutor at Chivhu Magistrates Court, was left humiliated after his wife discovered the affair after she gained access to WhatsApp messages her husband exchanged with the woman.
The lurid messages were reportedly punctuated with nude images that the two had become accustomed to sending to each other.

Close sources said the two’s favourite rendezvous was in Mpandawana where they would share their sinful love away from close friends, relatives and other believers.
After discovering the shocking messages, Ncube’s wife took the evidence to the assembly’s Pastor and the pastor convened a crisis meeting with church elders to map the way forward.
The woman at the centre of the affair is understood to be facing marital problems at home and had become bold enough to put WhatsApp statuses that gave hints that she had found love elsewhere.news

29 Jan 2017 – GUTU – A 30-year old Gutu man stands accused of raping and impregnating a 14-year old Grade 7 pupil who happens to be his friend’s daughter.
Justice Madhawu allegedly impregnated his friend’s daughter sometime in July last year. The pregnancy only came into light after the minor’s sister took her to Gutu Rural Hospital for a pregnancy test which proved to be positive.
The minor’s father said Madhawu was a frequent visitor at his home and he never suspected that he harboured sinister intentions.
The minor said Madhawu proposed love to her early in July while her father was sleeping in his bedroom and she did not respond to his proposal. On the same day, she said, Madhawu pulled her onto the sofa where he was sitting and became intimate with her.
He came back on several occasions in the same month and was intimate with her on the same sofa.
“On most occasions my father had no knowledge that he was in the house. He told me not to tell anyone saying it was a secret between us so I did not report to anyone.
“The first time he forced me but after that, it was by consent.
“When he came again in early August, I refused to be intimate with him and told him that I was pregnant. He came back later and asked why I had refused to sleep with him. He said I had refused because the pregnancy did not belong to him.
“After that he came on several occasions to visit my father but never again asked me to be intimate with him,” the minor said.
In December her elder sister, who had suspected that she was pregnant because her tummy and breasts were uncharacteristically growing, took her to hospital for a pregnancy test.
A report was made to Gutu police and the suspect has already appeared in court for initial remand.news

29 Jan 2017 – MWENEZI – A 36-year-old Mwenezi was violently attacked by his younger brother for asking back the money he was owed, the Mwenezi Magistrates’ Court heard last week.  
Appearing before Magistrate Honest Musiwa was Brian Mhlanga, of house number 378 Rutenga, who was sentenced to 15 months imprisonment, with five of them conditionally suspended for five years.
Magistrate Musiwa suspended the remaining ten months on condition that Mhlanga performed 350 hours of community service at Mwenezi Court.
The charges arose from an incident on November 30 last year when Brian assaulted his elder brother; Gift Mhlanga with fists all over the body after Gift had approached him at his homestead and asked him to pay back his money.
A misunderstanding then ensued leading to the assault which left Gift with serious injuries. He was rushed to Neshuro District Hospital where he received some treatment.
A medical report that was produced in court reflects that Gift sustained severe injuries.
When asked by the magistrate why he battered his brother, Brian denied assaulting him, saying they were fighting.
He told the court that the bad blood between them was being fuelled by Gift who wantonly sales the properties of their late father.

27 Jan 2017 – MWENEZI – A 22-year-old polygamous man who shared a single bedroom, same blankets with his two wives and a one-year-old son recently assaulted his 19-year-old elder wife after she had jiggled him while he was busy having sex with his 17-year-old second wife.
Appearing before the Mwenezi Magistrate, Honest Musiwa, Oliver Mapepa of village 4 Lapacha, Chief Chitanga, pleaded guilty to charges of assaulting his wife Nyarai Masere and was fined US$25 or alternatively 10 days behind bars.
Prosecutor Angelinah Makonya revealed that on January 3 this year in Village 4 Lapacha at around 8: 00 pm, Mapepa, who was asleep with his two wives in the same hut and same blankets, assaulted Masere with open hands several times on the face and head.
When asked by the magistrate, why he assaulted his wife, Mapepa said Masere was denying him access to his second wife.
The scuffle started when Masere mistakenly nudged Mapepa, who was making love to his younger wife, with her elbow.
This irritated Mapepa who abandoned the lovemaking business and began to beat Masere. A police report was made at Mwenezi Police Station leading to Mapepa’s arrest.

…striking workers are ‘dissidents’ – company says

27 Jan 2017 – MVUMA – More than 600 Africa Chrome Fields (ACF) Mine employees last week downed tools to protest what they call ‘slave like’ working conditions.
The mine is located on the Great Dyke, 53 km from Kwekwe along old Mvuma road between Munyati and Sebakwe rivers.
Workers told TellZim News they decided to down tools after the mine had shown no willingness to improve their welfare.
They cited long working hours, poor wages, lack of decent accommodation, no protective clothing and poor ablution facilities.
“We realised that this mine’s management does not care for us in any way. We tried to have our issues addressed amicably but they ignored us. We are continuously being kept like slaves through inhuman working conditions here,” said one worker.
“We are working 220 hours per month instead of 208 normal working hours but the extra hours are never paid for. We also stay in overcrowded tents with poor ablution facilities.
“We are get a paltry US$200 per month but others doing the same job in other mines are getting at least US$500.
“It’s high time these people give us fair treatment because time for slavery is long gone by. We are asking for something as simple as sufficient protective clothing. What they just want is labour from us as they enjoy profits from their comfort zones,” another worker said.
On Monday, sources said a truck load of soldiers had arrived at the mine as management flew to South Africa for consultations.
The workers revealed that they had petitioned company management and were waiting for a response by the time of writing.
ACF Assistant to National Project Liaison Director, Natalie Graaf, responding to questions from her South African base, dismissed the disgruntled workers as ‘a small fraction’ of ‘dissidents bent on fermenting mischief.
 “The dissidents represent a minute fraction of the total number of employees. It appears they have an ulterior motive which is political in nature. The vast majority of employees are all satisfied and happy with all the issues raised by the dissident.
“The matter has been resolved on site within hours and those that instigated the rush to down tools without proper cause will be investigated and brought to book fairly and equitably. ACF policy is one of fairness, equity and an impeccable work ethic and will not be diverted by a few who wish to derail a national project supported by government,” she said.
The mine is owned by some South African business people although it is widely rumoured that it is getting protection from powerful politicians who are receiving kickbacks in return for impunity.news
