Chapungu FC goalie Muzingi dies in training accident

12 Jan 2018 – GWERU – In a sad development, Chapungu FC goalkeeper, Roy Mazingi passed away on Wednesday January 10 in what was described as a freak accident during a military training session.
He was 31.
Though circumstances of Muzingi’s death were not yet clear at the time of writing, Chapungu FC wrote a communiqué confirming his death.
“It is with great sorrow that we as Chapungu FC announce the passing on of our first choice goalkeeper Roy Mazingi. Roy passed away last night (10/01/2013) in Harare after a short illness.
“Mourners are gathered at 537 Mbizo 3 Kwekwe. Burial will be in Kwekwe on Saturday January 13 2018. Burial times will be notified in due course,” the communiqué read.
Chapungu FC is a team for the Airforce of Zimbabwe (AFZ) and it is said Mazingi died during one of their training sessions.local
