ZVISHAVANE – Successful businessman and miner, Charles Shava, popularly known as Chatora is moving around Mberengwa and Zvishavane helping the poor schools there with money and various goods that they need to improve learning conditions.
He recently attended a function at Rupemba Primary School in Mberengwa where he donated food stuffs for ECD pupils.
It was then that he got touched by the dilapidated structures ECD pupils were using as classrooms and he donated US$500 to help in the building of proper classrooms.
He proceeded to Murerezi Secondary School in Mberengwa under Chief Negove and donated another US$500 to be used to buy furniture for the computer room.
Mponjani Primary School in Matanda Village under Chief Negove was also one of the lucky schools after it got US$300 from Chatora.
Bilashaba Primary School and Msipane Primary School in Zvishavane both walked away with US$100 to help in their prize giving ceremonies.
The chairperson of the prize giving event at Bilashaba Primary School, Elifa Makunzva thanked Chatora for his generosity.
“I want to thank Mr Shava for the money he gave us to start preparations for the prize giving ceremony and I pray to God that he continues to receive more so that he can carry on his good work,” said Makunzva.
School Development Committee (SDC) chairperson at the school, Tinomudaishe Ngwenya said Chatora had done a lot for their school and they will never forget him.
Chatora told TellZim News that he always takes clues from the holy Bible which motivates him to give.
Chatora is the proprietor of Mnene 100 mines and Bedford Blue mines.news
