MASVINGO – Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa and popular Zimdancehall artist Wilton Dobha have partnered musician Wellington Magura of Gutu for a command agriculture song.
Speaking to TellZim News, Magura said they came up with the song; ‘Command Agriculture’ to spread help publicise the command agriculture programme.
“We took it upon ourselves to further publicise the command agriculture program through music. As you might be aware, not all of us are interested in reading newspapers or watching television which are the major channels that have been publicising command agriculture. Our part was to appeal to music lovers on general aspects of the programme,” Magura said.
He said he was humbled for cooperation received from the office of the VP for the success of the project.
“We simply asked for permission to use his vice clips from rallies and feature his voice in our song. I was really humbled from the cooperation I received from his office and also how he humbled himself to work with a youthful group like us.
“We also made it clear that the command agriculture is a programme that Vice President Mnangagwa was given by President Robert Mugabe to implement. It’s not his personal programme as many think,” said Magura.intertainment, local, topnews
