Jacob Moyana of the ‘Munotidako’ fame left Masvingo fans crying for more when he was invited to perform at the Marry Me Night Club last weekend.
Moyana said the show was one of his best. He was quick to thank the organisers of the show – the Masvingo Family of Artists for bringing him to the people.
“This is one of the best initiatives to be founded towards emancipating local artists in Zimbabwe and I wonder where the people behind this brainchild have been during my rise to firm. I would have loved it as I love being part of it now”, said Moyana.
Moyana urged upcoming artists to remain focused. He said they should be self reliant through innovative skills rather than to depend with big names in the industry.
“Rising stars must do away with trying to gain fame overnight. I do urge all rising artists to be depended to the level of owning your equipment independently as I did because for you to be successful, you must sweat to some extent in life”, added Moyana.

Local artists at the show include the famous Uncle Jaunda, Dzimbabwe Sounds and Ochestra Sungura Sounds.
More acts are expected from local artists on the oncoming show which will feature sungura maestro, First Farai.
Masvingo Family of Artists lined up shows so that uprising artists brush shoulders with well established musicians. The organization took the initiative to encourage artists rising in the industry to get direct motivation from the stars they adore.
