MASVINGO – Research proposal writing has never been easier than what it has become now that prolific writers, Professor Wiseman Magwa and his wife Dr Simuforosa Magwa have published a step-by-step guide for both undergraduate and post graduate students.
The book is already available at Mambo Press bookshops countrywide.
Prof Magwa is the Vice Chancellor of the Reformed Church University (RCU) while Dr Simuforosa Magwa is a senior lecturer at the Great Zimbabwe University (GZU).
The writers are seasoned educations with treasure-troves of publications to their names and have taught at different schools, colleges and universities.
The new book, titled Writing a Research Proposal: A Step by Step Guide provides practical assistance on how to write a thesis with little or no hassles.
The content of the book covers all stages of writing a proposal starting from defining the proposal itself, the selection of a research topic, statement of the problem, objectives, research questions, methodology of findings up to the submission of the proposal to the thesis committee or supervisor.
The book’s foreword was written by another renowned scholar Professor Rungano Zvobgo who the GZU Vice Chancellor.
Most students at tertiary institutions, the authors say, do not understand what a research proposal means, and neither do they understand its importance in the entire research process. The book, therefore, comes in handy as a comprehensive solutions to students’ challenges in that regard.
While Professor Wiseman Magwa has published more than 100 academic articles and 26 textbooks in Shona and English, his spouse also boasts several publications in the area of Educational Psychology with numerous journal articles, book chapters and a book to her credit.education
