school heads, pupils and other participants who attended the 2018 Provincial
Merit Awards ceremony at the school last Friday, November 02, Chitiga praised
school head Tenson Mukapa for transforming Rutenga Primary.

we are seeing here does not need to be explained further. This is the diligence
with which the school head has always executed his duties even before he came
here to Rutenga. At his former school, people did not want him to leave,” said

Committee (SDC), staff and parents.

current economic challenges, we are very sure that by the end of November, all the
work will have been done.

fishery project is also in our plans and work on the fish pond has been
completed. We recently started a rabbit project and we have 15 rabbits and we
hope to expand the project soon.

am also pleased with the school garden which is producing various types of fresh
produce for the market. These are some of the improvements we are currently
doing but we are working to do more,” said Mukapa.

Last
year, the school topped the district after a total of 43 out of 118 pupils who
sat for their final grade seven examinations attained between 5 and10 units.

a current enrolment of 1 174 pupils, the school has a total of 27 qualified
teachers and 18 student teachers.
