23 April 2017, CHIVHU – Some parents with children attending Chivhu Primary and Liebenberg High are contemplating withdrawing their children from the schools following what they said was an endless string of paranormal incidents rocking the schools.
On closing day last term, one female pupil at Liebenberg was reportedly found lying in the middle of Marondamashanu road and the confused pupil could not explain how she got to be there.
The passerby who first saw the girl lying on the road was reluctant to speak to this reporter fearing to suffer the same fate.
A few weeks ago, a Grade 4 pupil at Chivhu Primary School is said have started shivering strangely and rolling her eyes.
Puzzled teachers and other pupils are said to have witnessed the pupil producing fire-like elements in her armpits, forcing them to call her father who disclosed that the child had once brought home a watch she had been given by a neighbour (name withheld).
The father is said to have told the teachers that he had ordered the girl to go and dump the watch far away but she soon started having nightmares and seeing visions of the watch calling her to come and pick it up where she had thrown it.
“We are still in shock because we do not know what is happening to our child. I cannot disclose more as for now but I suspect issues to do with Satanism,” said a relative to the girl who preferred anonymity.
One Liebenberg High staff member told TellZim News that inexplicable faintings are often experienced at the school with girls being the most vulnerable victims.
“We are used to it and it affects mainly girls who just collapse and wake up at the hospital. It’s hard to understand because even medical practitioners have no explanation,” said the source.
The source also revealed that one girl from the school had recently tried to commit suicide but could not reveal what was troubling her.local
