Spiritual matters

John 3 vs 16 says for God
so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes
in him should not perish but have eternal life. This verse is talking about the
sacrificial love that God showed to us by sending Him to the world to die on our
behalf.
In John 10 vs 10b the
Lord Jesus Christ says, ‘I have come so that you may have life and life in
abundance.’ The verse emphasises that salvation is for those who choose to
believe in Him, meaning an eternal life is possible to those who identify with
Him.
Romans 10 vs 9 teaches us
that if you confess with your mouth that Christ is Lord and you believe in your
heart that he was raised from the dead, you surely shall be saved.
God, however, expects us
to love him back as shown in Matthew 6 vs 33 which says seek ye first the Kingdom
of God and his righteousness and all those things shall be added unto you.
It is my encouragement
for you to seek the Kingdom of God first. If you put Him first in your heart
and life, all things will be easy. If you put Jesus Christ first, you will
fully enjoy in your life, family and your possessions.

Psalms 23 vs 1 says the
Lord is my shepherd I shall not lack, so the question to you now is do you
acknowledge Jesus Christ as your shepherd?
Some people allow their
possessions or even people to be their shepherds as aptly shown by Psalms 20 vs
7 which says some trust in chariots and some in horses (vamwe vanovimba nengoro nemabhiza). Horses and chariots in today’s
context mean a lot of thins including money, physical strength, education and
political power. These things, however, cannot serve your soul, neither can
they serve your body if real trouble comes.
But if we allow God to be
our shepherd, we will never lack or be sick but we shall have life. Let us
trust in the Lord all the time and allow him to lead you. Psalms 1 vs 2-3 says a
wise person’s delight is in the law of the Lord and in His law does he meditate
day and night. Such a person would be like a tree planted by the rivers of
water, which gives its fruit at the right time, whose leaves will be ever green
and he will do well in all his undertakings.
This means if we trust in
the Lord, we will be like trees planted by the rivers of water and whose leaves
do not wither. If we are in Christ, we become fruitful in all facets of our
lives. And everything we touch or do will surely not fail
It is therefore my
encouragement for us not to put our trust in men or other things that we have.
The companies we have built and the wealth we have amassed are not the doors to
true happiness, but His word lives forever.
