30 Jan 2017 – Zanu PF has already started to campaign for Mwenezi East constituency with the provincial political commissar Jeppy Jaboon confirming that the party is already preparing for its primary elections.
Although the date for the by-election is yet to be announced, jostling to represent Zanu PF in the pending election to replace the late Joshua Moyo in Mwenezi has begun.
“We are going to give you full details after our Provincial Coordinating Committee (PCC) on Saturday. I can however, confirm that we are already receiving CVs from Mwenezi and about six candidates have expressed interest in contesting in the by-election,” said Jaboon.
Jaboon said Zanu PF has already started to hold rallies and meetings in Mwenezi.
“I was already in Mwenezi on Sunday for a meeting. We are not looking back… we want to win that seat at all cost. Zanu PF is not afraid of Bhasikiti whom we heard is likely going to represent Zim PF,” added Jaboon.news
