Zvishavane musician to release 2nd album

ZVISHAVANE – Gospel musician Tichaona Mupingo is set to release his second album titled ‘Takadiwanashe’ at the end of April 2017.
The album is a sermon on God’s eternal love and the need for the sinner’s repentance.
The eight-track album contains songs like Anouya nemakore, Wapinda mujorodhani, Let love shine and the title track Takadiwanashe which highlights God’s unending love for humanity as shown by His sending of Jesus Christ to redeem a lost world.
Wapinda Mujorodhani is an appeal for people to leave behind their past and live a new life of repentance.
Mupingo told TellZim News he was busy raising studio fees for the album which he says will be released by Metro Studios before he starts working on videos for all the tracks.
He entered the music industry in 1978, collaborating with the Blacksaints band in Mutare when Paul Phiri was the leading vocalist in the band.
Mupingo also joined groups like the Black Diamond band in Rusape (1981-1983), Dynamic Brothers in Siboza (1988). In 1989, he teamed up with Jonah Moyo of the Deverangwena band and between 1992 and 1993; he worked with the Jairos Jiri band in Bulawayo.
Between 1994 and 1999, he was with the Tembo Brothers led by John Chibadura in Chitungwiza. After 1999, he was a freelance musician and in 2006, he recorded his first album titled ‘Tinzweiwo ishe’ which contains six tracks.
Mupingo also said he is currently a leading guitarist at Miracle Gospel Church in Zvishavane.entertainment
