MUTIMUREFU – Former Movement for Democratic Change (MDC-T) Masvingo Urban ward 8 councillor and now Zanu PF member, Misheck Gapare who was recently given bail after he challenged both his conviction and sentence following his two months stay in Mutimurefu prisons told this publication that jail life exposed him to the worst experience in his life.
Misheck Gapare

Gapare, who was sentenced to two years over stands scam involving 50 residential stands, told TellZim News that prison life is something that he would not want to be reminded by anyone.
“When you are a prisoner, you are a prisoner like any other convict. You do not choose what to do except to follow instructions and do what other prisoners would be doing,” said Gapare.
Despite the challenges and jail pains he experienced, Gapare indicated that he did not stop dreaming big as he explained of himself continuing to think about his family and his business while in jail.
While in Mutimurefu – about 20km along Masvingo-Mutare highway, Gapare would not let a single day passing without him thinking of business ideas he wanted to implement after his release.
“When I was in jail, I was thinking about my family and my business. I didn’t stop dreaming big because of the circumstances. I have a target of finishing all my pending projects. My projects have been disturbed for that time but all will be in place soon,”he said.
Gapare said he has nothing to worry on his case before the courts saying God would rescue him from the seemingly impending danger.
“I believe in God, it is God who created the land and I know God will give the final decision,”  said the ever confident Gapare.
