Mahofa exposed again

0
Itai Muzondo

MASVINGO – A faction rallying behind First Lady Grace Mugabe, Generation 40 (G40) has savaged the Minister of State for Provincial Affairs for Masvingo Shuvai Mahofa, a die-hard Team Lacoste faction supporter which pushes for Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa to replace President Robert Mugabe, describing her as a zombie with nothing but only a knitting certificate.
G40, which is seemingly in panic mode after the War Vets recently disassociated themselves and publicly announced their dislike for ‘Mugabe’s dictatorial leadership’, hurriedly held a meeting in Triangle recently to plan counter attacks on Team Lacoste before they attacked the faction provincial godfathers Josaya Hungwe, Ailess Baloyi, Titus Maluleke, Francis Nhando, Francis ‘Black Jesus’ Zimuto and Shuvai Mahofa.
Addressing a poorly attended meeting on Saturday, Zanu PF Masvingo provincial chairperson, Amasa Nhenjana tore into Mahofa describing her as the most uneducated minister ever with only a knitting certificate and hastened to say she is clueless of her duties but was only serving at the mercy of Mugabe whom she now wants him replaced with Mnangagwa.
Nhenjana also said they will reverse all the sugarcane farm allocations that were recommended by Mahofa on factional lines.
“It’s now time for confrontation and this is the only way we can expose these people who are against the President. Imagine Mahofa, who only has a knitting certificate, what would have become of her if the President had not appointed her minister? She is now becoming big-headed and is fighting the person who appointed her to become minister – she is forgetting that she is serving at the mercy of President Mugabe,” said Nhenjana.
“We will reverse all sugarcane farm allocations done by Mahofa in Triangle and Hippo Valley and make sure that the fired workers are resuscitated. People forget that they feel warm because they are wearing Zanu PF robes but once they are stripped off, they start shivering with cold. It’s cold out there,” Nhenjana added.
Chiredzi North legislator, who travels to attend Parliament sessions by a chicken bus, also condemned Black Jesus for openly attacking Mugabe for failing the war vets and the country at large. The little known legislator said Black Jesus has no similarities whatsoever with the Biblical Jesus of the Nazareth.
“Who is Black Jesus to confront the President? He is not similar to Jesus in any way; in fact he is the devil…BLACK Jesus as his name suggests. Team Lacoste is bitter because we exposed their plot to topple President Mugabe,” said Mukwena.
Chiredzi West legislator Darlington Chiwa, however, promised to lead the youth in terror attack of Team Lacoste members saying they will disrupt all the faction’s meetings in the province.
“My message to Mahofa is very clear, I know all her farms including those registered under pseudo names. I want to urge her to give back one to Tongaat Hulett so that the fired workers can be resuscitated; failure to do so we will use force.
“All youth present here, you are free to deal with traitors like Nhando, Maluleke, Baloyi and many others we know in any way. Do not be scared because we have to protect the President. After all, it’s only $20 bail for an assault charge. I am not inciting violence but we will do anything to protect President Mugabe,” said Chiwa.
When contacted for comment, Mahofa said she doesn’t want to speak to TellZim News.
Motivated youths in return promised to storm over Team Lacoste members’ properties.
“What these guys are doing is simple betrayal and as youth, we know the properties they acquired using the party name and we are going to take everything back. We will start on Nhando, Baloyi then to Maluleke. We will leave no stone unturned,” the youth declared.
Masvingo provincial political commissar Jeppy Jaboon who is also the Bikita South legislator supported the youth and said they should guard against vultures from destroying the party.
“Youth are part and parcel of the revolution as they are the leaders of tomorrow so when they say they are bitter, who are we to stop them. Let it be, let them defend the revolution in ways they deem necessary” Jaboon said.news

Chitembwe to leave Caps Utd?

0

Davison Marenga

ZVISHAVANE – Caps United gaffer Lloyd ‘Lodza’ Chitembwe’s days at the helm of the Green Machine may be numbered as he hinted on the possibility of leaving the club despite the club being on third position on the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) log standings.
Though Chitembwe could neither deny nor confirm that he might leave Caps United, his body language seemed to suggest that he was not happy at the club. He however was quick to mention that he will leave the club a happy man if he is to make such a decision.
“You get to a point when you realise that your good is not good enough and sometimes it will be best to try something new. I am still thinking about my future at the club but I might be on my way out soon,” said Chitembwe.
“I am happy with improvements at the club; the team is playing far much better than how it played last season. I don’t know when I will be leaving the club, but if I’m to leave the Green machine; certainly I will be a happy man considering how I transformed the club this season. The club is among title contenders and we are just a point behind log leaders,” said Chitembwe.
Caps United lost their last match by a goal to nil to Highlanders at Barbourfields and Chitembwe feels that the club needs to do more if they are to remain among the league title favourites.
Cap United director Farai Jere said the club was happy with Chitembwe and insisted that they have no intention to part ways with the gaffer. Jere urged all Caps United fans to rally behind Chitembwe.
“We are happy with the team’s performance and we have no intention to part ways with Chitembwe. I want to urge fans to respect and rally behind Chitembwe because he has immensely improved our performance since he took over last season,” said Jere.sport

Who says Tsvangirai moves with open zip and shut mind?

0
Mapombi is slowly but surely beginning to see some sense in Morgan Tsvangirai. Chakangwara ichi Tsvangson! Mapombi almost believed Zanu PF when it said Morgan had an open zip and shut mind. Kkkkkk kuchinyepera Tea Boy chinofungisa.
After all who has an open mind and shut zip in Zanu PF? Not even one. Even the so called doctors and Professors. They are doctors with PhDs in ignorance and they know nothing more except corruption and misrule. And to ascertain that hapana zvinozikanwa they always find someone to blame kkkkkkk hanzi Pastor Evan Mawarire is being send by US and Britain; Beitbridge Border strike was caused by South Africans, corruption in government is because of sanctions, hee-ee France blah blah Kkkkk baba vangu iwe!
Kkkkkk Zanu PF cannot be trusted with anything; some are rapists and thieves while others are greedy and corrupt. They can’t be trusted – they take Shabani and Mashava Mines look what they did; they take over Chiyadzwa diamonds mine and guess what happened? $15 billion went missing. Hey not Zim dollars but $15 billion United States Dollars. They cannot just be trusted! Wherever they lay their hands they leave trail of destruction.
Anyway, Mapombi wants to salute Dr Richard Morgan Tsvangirai – the only sensible Dr in my view. And of course Dr Amai – she has a PhD in kutukirira. Amai vanotuka ivava vakomana Mapombi is very sure they now know her by name in Singapore. Imagine vachipopota muzukuru wavo atadza kubaiwa BCG in time kkkkk Marujata! By the way it’s not Mapombi who gave her that name ndiMavhaire.
Mapombi can confidently confirm that Tsvangirai is now one of her allies and together with war veterans we are forming a Tripple Alliance against…. E-eh nhasi zvangu ndinoswera ndava kunzi Mapombi is being send by his handlers, the US and British to push regime change agenda. Kkkkkk kaparty kanonzi Zanu PF ka! But this time havalume, with these triple alliance we are forming kunyepa. The war vets now mean serious business and Tsvangirai too. He appointed Nelson Chamisa and Elias Mudzuri his vice presidents. That was a brave and wise decision Tsvangson. Solving succession issues whilst you still have the energy kwete senge zvinoitiwa kukaparty kamwe kaya. Mapombi is very confident that young Chamisa will take over reigns from Tsvangirai. Makaranga pfee!
Mapombi just feel sorry for Mwonzora; mind you he who laughs last laughs the longest. Kekekekeke tough lucky mukoma Dougie! Mwonzora keep your Secretary General (SG) and Chamisa will keep the presidency.  Mapombi mentioned it achiri kwaChirimudombo uko kuti Chamisa will take over from Tsvangirai vamwe vakati ndiri murwere wepfungwa zvino nhasi ndezvipi? Viva Chamisa!
Anyway, Mapombi is irked by the behavior of some comrades from Public Service Commission – they went around rural schools demanding attendance registers before they threatened all teachers who were absent during last weeks’ stay away. Be warned comrades! Munombohora yakawanda seiko imi munoda kutoshungurudza vamwe kudai? Haa tiitirei mushe manzwa!
Why threatening teachers in rural areas? In urban all schools were closed but none of you went and demanded attendance registers asi kumhanyira kumusha. Nxaa! Kungwarira paguyo sembwa.
Mapombi is very bitter especially with people who want to cause unnecessary trouble to civil servants. Someone is protesting because he or she is not given salary on time but rimwe boorangoma rotouya roti wavepi blah blah. Nonsense! These people give Mapombi some rotten bananas each time they come to Dr Grace Mugabe Trading Centre to buy tomatoes, cabbages and Matemba. Ndoraramirepi ini kana mava kutsindira mwena unobuda neishwa?
The month of July is almost folding and government has not yet announced salary dates for civil servants kkkkkk even the uniformed forces kkkkkk inga zvinhu zvinosanduka akomana. Government is no longer afraid of your guns anymore – mapurisa nemasoja mangofanana nemateacher wotoshaya kuti black boots yairoverei vanhu when they were demonstrating against this government’s maladministration. Gore rino muchatambiiswa zvihuta chete kekekeke. Anyway, let us join our hands to welcome the police and army to this poverty league where salary has become a nightmare. In this league we have teachers, nurses, parastatals, government departments and the private sector. Mucharohwa nenhamo kusvika mati baba nemuridzo kuno. You have to join the demos and stay away or else you will be relegated. Period.
By the way, who is the police provincial boss? Is there anyone of that sort? Mapombi doubt very much because the level of lawlessness in this province is just too much. Murder cases, robbery, rape and theft are on the increase. Things were not like this during the time of
Anyway, what more can we expect from this organization except roadblocks. Please mount more roadblocks and collect every cent that motorists have. In fact, go ahead and search their pockets and take every cent. Hapana kana pressure!
Aa-ah it’s almost lunch time let me go ndindokanga hangu maputi angu for lunch because rotten bananas are hard to come by these days.news

Exsto Makunzva

ZVISHAVANE – Zvishavane-Ngezi legislator John Holder has applauded local artistes for their contribution to the entertainment industry in Zvishavane.
Speaking at the launch of Atalia Parehwa’s new album recently where he was  Guest of Honour, Holder described Parehwa as a rising gospel star who has become a household name not only in Zvishavane but in the entire Midlands province and the country at large.
“Atalia gave me her new CD when l was on my way to Harare; at first I thought it was just an ordinary gospel album but, alas, I was proved wrong when I played the CD. I couldn’t resist replaying it all the way to Harare and back. She has a lot of talent and her music is unique,” said Holder.
“Now I have heard good music from this other guy Richman Dumiso who performed at the launch. Zvishavane has lots of talent and all we need is to support these artistes,” he added.
Holder went on to buy the CD for $40.
Parehwa said she was impressed by the overwhelming support she was getting from the local people and said she will soon embark on countrywide tours.
“The attendance was overwhelming; I am happy with the support I received. People expressed interest in my music and we will soon embark on live shows countrywide,” said Parehwa.news

Irrigation is the panacea to food security- MP Gwanetsa

Upenyu Chaota

MASVINGO – The Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Lands, Agriculture Mechanisation and Irrigation has embarked on a nationwide tour to assess how the agricultural equipments sourced by President Robert Mugabe from Brazil were being used.
The committee led by Chiredzi South legislator Calisto Gwanetsa toured Tsovani irrigation scheme in Chiredzi last Saturday and urged farmers in the Lowveld to make use of the irrigation schemes to do commercial production in order to improve their living standards.
Gwanetsa made reference to the country’s economic blueprint ZimAsset cluster of food security and nutrition as well as President Mugabe’s 10 point plan saying it was necessary to adapt to the changing climatic conditions.
“As you all know that the country was hit hard by El Nino effect and resulted in catastrophic yields and loss of livestock. The climate has changed and we can counter this by capitalising on irrigation. Zimbabwe used to be the bread basket of Africa and we want to restore that status through irrigation,” said Gwanetsa.
“President Mugabe sourced equipment from Brazil and, as committee responsible for agriculture, we have embarked on a tour to assess how the equipment has been received and is being used -we have been to Mashonaland, Mount Darwin, Manicaland and now in Masvingo. We have adequate water sources to kick start irrigation projects and I urge farmers to capitalise on irrigation,” he added.news

GZU to open culture centre in Zaka

0
Brighton Chiseva

Zaka – The Zaka Rural District Council (ZRDC) has accepted  proposals by Great Zimbabwe University (GZU) for a memorandum of understanding to establish a culture centre in the district.
A recent ZRDC full council meeting heard that council has agreed to partner the university.
In the proposal, GZU  says it has a niche to promote, safeguard and preserve arts, culture and heritage and wish to develop the culture industry beginning with areas in its home province.
“We have identified arts and culture active centres within Zaka RDC,” reads part of the letter.
The proposal also hoghlights that if the university is given a chance it will construct an African architecture and ambience centre as well as conduct entrepreneurship training for artists.
It states that the university’s various schools can also come on board and assist the community by training farmers on rearing of domestic animals, bees, quails, fish and  cultivating skills in weaving and pottery.
ZRDC chairperson, Sebastian Musundire welcomed the development saying they already had places like Nyabare Park which are earmarked for such projects.
“We have such kind of institutions in our plans, so we welcome the proposal,” he said.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) David Majaura said the issue had been sent to the planning committee to find land for the institution.news

Delays in payment of civil servants, council feels the heat

0
Upenyu Chaota

MASVINGO – As the economy continues to plummet, with government struggling to pay its civil servants who are also major ratepayers, the Masvingo City council has felt the heat as rates inflows immensely declined.
The effect also resulted in council delaying paying some of its employees their June salaries.
Mayor Hubert Fidze confirmed the development and said the delay of civil servants’ salaries have seriously affected council operations.
“The majority of residents are civil servants and these were the people who were religiously paying their rates in time. Over the past months we have experienced a drop in rates payment not because people do not want to pay but they do not have the money.
“We will get into a situation where we will have a huge backlog because the money we are getting is all channelled towards service delivery and little will be left for the payment of salaries,” said Fidze.
Town Clerk Adolf Gusha said they are in the process of engaging the workers’ committee so that they can negotiate a way forward.
“Yes, we are only one month behind with our salary payments but it is not so bad considering the financial deficit we are operating under. The council has no money and we are going to have a meeting with the workers’ committee so that we can map the way forward. We will explain our situation to them but once the money is available, we will pay forthwith,” said Gusha.
“We are owed millions and most of the debtors have failed to honour their payment plans. If residents and institutions settle their debts in time, we would not be in this situation,” said Gusha.
Finance committee chairperson and Ward 9 councillor Babylon Beta assured workers that they are going to get their salaries saying they are processing salaries grade by grade.
“I am confident that most workers if not all will get their salaries this week because we are processing the funds now,” said Beta.news

Tsvovani pharmacy opens new chemist at Zava

Paida Mukono

Chiredzi –Tshovani Pharmacy opened a new branch at Zava shopping centre in Tshovani last week, a development that is likely to bring convenience to the people who live close to Zava as well as patients at the general hospital.
Considering the distance between Zava shopping centre and Tshovani Pharmacy’s other branch at the bus terminus and the general hospital, the new pharmacy will be of much use to patients who for a long time had had to cope with the absence of chemist services close by.
“When you have a chemist close to a hospital, you have all the convenience that is needed because people will not have to walk a long distance to buy their prescribed medication.
“Our long working hours will bring even more convenience to the general public. We are operating from 8am till 8pm,” said Thsovani Pharmacy’s Webster Khumalo.
“Our presence is a boost for both the health and economy of the town since our services are aimed at improving the lives of the people of Chiredzi,” he said.
Members of the public who spoke to this publication said they were pleased that health services providers are becoming more confident in the opportunities that the town of Chiredzi offers to business.
“The chemist is close to the hospital and I have managed to get the medication which the doctor prescribed for me and I believe it will be a positive development for more people in the long run,” said one customer.news

Musiso pupil sustain serious injuries after corporal punishment

0

Brighton Chiseva

Zaka – Kundai Makado, a Lower Six pupil at Musiso High is nursing serious wounds she sustained following a brutal beating by a teacher and her mother after she was accused of going out of school bounds without permission and taking alcohol.
Pupils who spoke to TellZim News narrated the events leading to the brutal incident saying she did not deserve such treatment.
Others called for justice, threatening a strike if the matter is not handled fairly.
It is said that the girl was accused of having gone for Catholic games held in Gutu recently together with 24 other pupils where she allegedly took alcohol and even brought some to the hostel.
When the matter came to light she was reportedly assaulted severely by one of the teachers at the school.
It could not immediately be ascertained why it was only Kundai who was badly beaten.
It is also said when the girl’s mother heard about the matter, she visited the school and also assaulted the girl with a jambok believed to have been provided by the same teacher.
It is further revealed that the girl was detained for three days in the hostel and was denied permission to go to hospital as school authorities feared the nurses would alert the police.
A tip-off by some concerned staff members saw education officials visiting the school but the extremely injured girl was again hidden in the ‘Senior Lady’s office.
They were however alerted by some students about Kundai’s whereabouts and the officials in turn alerted the district schools inspector, James Mahofa who attended the scene.
Efforts to get comment from the school head Immaculate Tinago were fruitless by the time of going to print.
Other pupils who spoke to TellZim News said Kundai suffered serious injuries in the face and body including between the legs.
The pupils questioned the reliability of the school’s security if 25 pupils could escape from the school and go for days without being detected.
This is not the first time a case of alleged abuse of pupils at the school has been reported.
In 2012, the headmistress was charged for assaulting a pupil.
In a document addressed to the ministry of education, she pledges that no corporal punishment will be inflicted outside the provisions of circular 35.news
