ZVISHAVANE – Zvishavane-Ngezi legislator John Holder has applauded local artistes for their contribution to the entertainment industry in Zvishavane.
Speaking at the launch of Atalia Parehwa’s new album recently where he was  Guest of Honour, Holder described Parehwa as a rising gospel star who has become a household name not only in Zvishavane but in the entire Midlands province and the country at large.
“Atalia gave me her new CD when l was on my way to Harare; at first I thought it was just an ordinary gospel album but, alas, I was proved wrong when I played the CD. I couldn’t resist replaying it all the way to Harare and back. She has a lot of talent and her music is unique,” said Holder.
“Now I have heard good music from this other guy Richman Dumiso who performed at the launch. Zvishavane has lots of talent and all we need is to support these artistes,” he added.
Holder went on to buy the CD for $40.
Parehwa said she was impressed by the overwhelming support she was getting from the local people and said she will soon embark on countrywide tours.
“The attendance was overwhelming; I am happy with the support I received. People expressed interest in my music and we will soon embark on live shows countrywide,” said Parehwa.news
