Great Zimbabwe University (GZU) has introduced short courses for the July/August 2017 intake awarding certificates and diplomas within a period ranging from six months to one year.
Applications for a chance to do any of the courses under the block release system, are done at the GZU main campus.
A certificate in Project Planning and Management runs for six months and suits people working or seeking employment in Non-Governmental Organisations, civil society organisations, government and the private sector.
Other programmes include Executive Certificate in Programme and Project Monitoring and Evaluation (six months) as well as Post Graduate Diploma in Project Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (12 months).
GZU Deputy Registrar Innocent Chinyemba said the university has answered the call by the public to offer meaningful short courses.
“As the University of Choice, our job is to deliver to the expectations of the community and we have answered to their call on the provision of short programmes that target people in the NGOs, CSOs, government and the private sector.
“You find that there many people in all these sectors who do not have the requisite qualifications so under this programme, they will all get a chance to be awarded with certificates or diplomas,” said Chinyemba.
For convenience sake, Chinyemba said, some of the classes will be conducted in Harare at Dzidzo House and registration is on July 3, 2017.
The first block release session runs from July 4 to 15 while the second one runs from July 31 to August 12, 2017.local, education
