Masvingo Police nab three notorious armed robbers

Masvingo Police recently arrested three armed robbers who were sought in connection with a spate of armed robberies along Masvingo-Beit-Bridge road bringing relief to travelers.

Masvingo Provincial Police Spokesperson Inspector Kudakwashe Dhewa confirmed the arrest of the armed robbers identified as Vision Bvudzijena, Gladman Zhou and Crispen Komboni, in a statement which TellZim News has in possession.

“The Zimbabwe Republic Police,Criminal Investigation Department CID Mwenezi confirms the arrest of Vision Bvudzijena (27), Gladman Zhou(26) and Crispen Komboni(35) for robbery.

“We are now appealing for information that may lead to the arrest of the outstanding suspect Derldreneds Davison Siyafa Moyo,” read the statement.

During the period extending from August 2024 to January 8, 2025 the accused went on a robbing spree along the Beitbridge-Masvingo Road targeting motorists.

In one of the cases that occurred on January 8 at around 0230hours, they pounced on the complainants whose motor vehicle had developed a tyre burst. They stabbed the two complainants with an okapi knife before robbing them of their cash and other valuables.

They went on to drive the complainants’ motor vehicle for about four kilometers before dumping the vehicle intact.

Police recovered five 2 in 1 blankets, 50kg sack of sunhats, 50kgs of assorted men jean trousers, one 50kgs bag of fertilizer and two big suitcases with various clothes.

The trio appeared before Mwenezi Magistrate Court on January 10 where they were remanded in custody to a later date.
