30 March 2017, CHIREDZI – One of Chiredzi’s fastest growing Pentecostal Churches; Gilgal Deliverance Ministries has expressed that performing miracles is one of their core mission after performing several wonders recently.
The church’s spokesperson Robson Mashiri told TellZim News that the church is planning to make a national tour performing miracles to help those in pain and sorrow.
“We are based in Chiredzi but we have a very wide scope. We hope to make a national tour in the near future to help many troubled souls across the nation. All those who have heard about our miracles should be ready for real life transforming crusades that are coming their way as we embark on our national tour,” said Mashiri.
He also added that besides doing miracles, the church is also set to do food distributions to help the disadvantaged and the marginalised.
“As a church, we also help the disadvantaged. In fulfilling that, we are gathering grain which will be distributed to disadvantaged families. So far we have a tonne of maize and once our granaries have enough, we will distribute it to the less privileged in selected areas,” added Mashiri.
Pertaining to miracles being performed by the church currently, Mashiri said a baby on comma who recently visited the church got deliverance last week.
“We recently held a crusade under theme ‘Operation carry your testimony’ where a child who visited the church on a comma was healed. Several miracles were also performed as diabetic and high blood pressure (BP)patients were healed. Testimonies of marriages and breakthroughs were also witnessed,” added Mashiri.
He also indicated that those who were struggling to establish stable marriages were also geting help in the church.
“We are witnessing a number of weddings every month in our church and we are happy that we are receiving living testimonies every week,” added Mashiri.local

ED, show us a bit of aggressiveness

0

Mapombi wishes if she were a man – dai ndakaitwa murume zvaiva nani maybe I would have changed the world, or would have at least changed Zimbabwe in case I failed to change the whole world. I am more aggressive than the majority men in Zanu PF.
When I was still growing up kwedu kwaChirimudombo uko, I used to hear words like bootlicking, singing for own super ndichishaya kuti zvomboreveikowo but now I know. When I heard Webster Shamu saying vaMugabe iCremora and when Chombo knelt down before Dr Amai ndakabva ndaziva kuti ndoinonzi bootlicking at its worst. Asi zvimwe munozvinyanya vakomana; murume mukuru shuwa kugwadamira Dr Amai. Hahahaha tibvirei apa! Gwadagwa.
No wonder I used to like the late decorated army commander Solomon Mujuru more than ED Ngwena. Solo was more aggressive than this self-proclaimed crocodile. He was a real – ndovainzi varume kwete zveava vakanyorwa pamatoilet.
Mapombi heard even the CEO himself, yes Mugabe chaiye aijamba kana Mujuru ataura. I wish if we had two or three strong characters like the late army general zvingadaro zvinhu zvakanaka kare kare. The problem is, like what Julius Malema correctly pointed out that Zanu PF is full of cowards, we do not have people who have the courage to face the CEO and tell him in the face kuti mukuru mava kuuvondonga kambani. This reminded me of the late System Tazvida’s song with the lyrics; ‘Vaforomani ndimi maondonga purazi, gadzirisai mitemo yenyu vanhu vashande…’
But Zimbabwe could have been a different country all together if we had strong characters in Zanu PF and in the opposition. We wouldn’t be having these fish ponds in our roads and this buttered economy. The holes on our roads are now bigger than the size of a pot therefore, cannot be called potholes anymore but fish ponds.
Mapombi was, all along, thinking that ED Ngwena is powerful and courageous but haiwawo musanyeperwe. Mati kungongwarira kudzingisa vamwe muparty hakozve. Mapombi used to admire the Croc and wished kuti dai akangondipawo mwana pamwe ndiri smallhouse yake but now handichada. The chap is a coward!
We all know that Team Lacoste won elections for the Masvingo provincial chairmanship but what happened? Kkkkkkk the results were nullified rakacheka nyika madhongi achikuma and we are now preparing for re-election.
Mapombi can safely and confidently tell you that the elections will again be a non-event if Chadzamira wins. In fact, Team Lacoste must not win the election. Period! This is happening in ED Ngwena’s eyes but the Croc remains mum. For how long? Haaa Cde show us a bit of seriousness and aggressiveness. Tinongonzwa nembiri kuti you are shrewd; can you show your shrewdness to Mugabe? Kwete kungodherera isu vana Mapombi who are vulnerable.
Tell the old man that it’s time up. We now need a new face; even in the name of Dr Amai Grace Mugabe. Kkkkkkk gore iroro kunokamwa mbwa shuwa; kutsva mapadza mupinyi ichisara.
But Dr Amai is at least better vanotaurira munhu chokwadi. Not chokwadi as such but, I mean, vanohumana havanyare munhu. At least we credit her for successfully pushing out Queen Bee Joice Mujuru from Zanu PF and government. At least that was notable ko imi bamboo vangu makaitei except those evil stories we hear about you like the Gukurahundi massacres?
It’s almost lunch time guys allow me to go ndindokanga maputi angu for lunch. But I heard Kudakwashe Bhasikiti zvamuremera kuMwenezi uku against Joosbi Omar. Kkkkkk taizviziva izvi kuti ndima iyi ine makata inotoda muchina muhombe chaiwo.
But Mapombi heard that Bhasikiti’s reasons for pulling out are genuine and real. ZEC is just watching Zanu PF engaging in vote-buying and intimidation. How can government food aid be distributed at Zanu PF rallies? What’s the meaning of that? At least Bhasikiti has a genuine case though pamwe vakatya havo kurakashwa.
By the way, Mnangagwa is coming to Mwenezi this weekend to prop up Mzukuru Joosbi. Kwati kwati neMuzukuru! Mapombi is very sure the Lacoste faction would like to separately meet the Midlands godfather for a pep talk ahead of the party provincial re-elections. May the best faction win at the end of all this.
Let me go and have some rotten bananas while I try to create some fire ndikange hangu maputi angu for lunch. But cyclone Dineo wacho haanyarewo here my life has been hell for almost two months now because of her. Bhasikiti said cyclone Dineo, Dr Amai and Joice Mujuru zvakangofanana kkkkkkkkk.
Where is Mphoko by the way? Kuhotera vachirikugarako here zviya? The only Vice President to ever specialise in chick and incubator donation kkkkkkkk. Mboko imboko!mapombi

Farai Musikavanhu

…positions self for public office

Beatific Gumbwanda

27 March 2017, CHIREDZI – Former Tongaat Hullet executive director, Farai Musikavanhu is accelerating his bid for public office through an array of social responsibility programmes, the latest being a massive US$150 000 windfall to the struggling Chiredzi Town Council.
The cash injection is meant for development and improvement of key as well as recreational services.
The feisty Musikavanhu also wants to sink a borehole at the council-run polyclinic and has donated other resources towards the development of the clinic’s antenatal health services.
The Minister of Health and Child Care, Dr David Parirenyatwa last month appealed to business and individuals for help to improve the polyclinic so as to relieve pressure at Chiredzi General Hospital where expectant mothers are sleeping on the floor due to shortages of maternity beds.
Musikavanhu, who is also making renovations at Tshovani Stadium, told TellZim News that it was his responsibility to take care of the community he lives in while proving that ZimAsset is workable.
“I just realised that sometimes we must not wait for council or government to address problems in our communities. We just have to embrace team work, solidarity and forward thinking so that our communities can be transformed,” said Musikavanhu.
Chiredzi Town Council chairperson, Francis Moyo praised Musikavanhu for his work which he said was going a long way in the improvement of service delivery in the town.
“We are gratified as council that one of our residents has remembered us by availing $150 000 that is already being used at various projects in our community. This is making a big difference in the delivery of better services.
“The funds are being used for many projects including the establishment of a maternity ward at our polyclinic, the setting-up of a free WI-FI zone and the refurbishment of recreational facilities at all open spaces. Tshovani Stadium will get a facelift to meet modern standards,” said Moyo.
Musikavanhu is understood to be positioning himself for high political office with his sights suspected to be on wrestling the Chiredzi West parliamentary seat from incumbent Darlington Chiwa.politics

Hwarare, MP Chiwa attack Bhila

Raymond Bhila (standing)

…accuse him of abusing CSFAZ money to fund political campaign

Beatific Gumbwanda

27 March 2017, CHIREDZI – Smear campaigns and mudslinging seem to have gone a gear up ahead of the 2018 elections with Chiredzi West legislator, Darlington Chiwa teaming up with Addmore Hwarare to attack Commercial Sugarcane Farmers Association of Zimbabwe (CSFAZ) secretary general, Raymond Bhila for allegedly misusing the organisation’s money to fund his own political ambitions.
Bhila is suspected to be positioning himself to seize Chiredzi North constituency from Robert Mukwena in the 2018 general elections while Hwarare is also said to have set his sights on the same constituency.
The accusations also come in the wake of intense lobbying and jostling for positions ahead of elections at CSFAZ, with Bhila fighting to retain his position while Hwarare, who is the association’s former chairperson, also gunning for a comeback.
Chiwa, who used to be secretary general of the association himself, told TellZim News that Bhila was abusing the association’s money to further his own political agenda.
He also accused Bhila of firing CSFAZ administrator, Kumbirai Mapfiza, so as to clear the only obstacle that stood in his way towards total control of the organisation’s funds. He also said Bhila dismissed Mapfiza so that he could act in that position himself and earn extra allowances.
“Bhila fired the administrator but farmers are busy dosing while their money is being used unwisely. He is now taking advantage of a weak treasurer at the association to have his own way.
“That’s why he wants to be voted for as MP; he thinks all of us rose to power by swindling the association of its money. We worked an extra mile to be MPs and we didn’t get there by abusing the association’s money.
“It is sad that our legacy and all that we left and the capacity building that we thought had helped us to manage the association professionally is being eroded,” charged an irate Chiwa.
Hwarare also added his voice, accusing Bhila of diverting association funds and giving himself hefty allowances.
“They are giving each other $100 a day in allowances which is about $2400 a month which he wishes to use in his election campaign. We were performed better than what they are doing,” said Hwarare.
Bhila, a businessman and farmer, however, dismissed the allegations as nothing but a smear campaign.
“Let them speak. That’s what they do during this campaigning period. I never fired the administrator but the council did because it has that responsibility.
“In fact, he was not fired; he was suspended after he had taken us to court to have his salary increased from $1000 to $5000 as gazetted by a previous executive member who opposed our constitution.
“I am the secretary general not the administrator so how can I be given those allowances? If there are any, we are given $50 and nothing close to those exaggerations,” said Bhila
Bhila told TellZim News he has his own money and does not subsist on the little he gets at CSFAZ.politics

Women urged to participate in politics

GUTU – Women have been urged to play an active role in politics and seek to be elected into political office so that they do not continue playing second fiddle to their male counterparts.
Addressing a Women for Women Solidarity – organised meeting under the  ‘#SheVotes2018’ banner at Dewure business centre in Gutu last Sunday, Solomon Bobosibunu of the Electoral Resource Centre (ERC) urged female voters to support female candidates in elections.
“Women must consider the role which they play in the community. In most cases, it is the women who vote and thrust men into power. Women should be able to vote for other women and avoid putting men in front all the time.
“Men use food handouts to entice women to vote for them but we know that women can also contest for political office and perform even better than men,” said Bobosibunu.
He encouraged women to take elections seriously and be resilient against voter intimidation by traditional leaders or any other individuals.
“Your vote is your secret so do not be intimidated by people who say they will know how you cast your vote,” said Bobosibunu.
Speaking at the same occasion, social activist Marian Chombo said women participated in the liberation struggle yet their role went largely ignored.
“Nobody but ourselves will emancipate us. We must seek political office and free each other. The food handouts that come our way are not the solution to our problems. Let us elevate each other. A journey of a thousand miles begins with one step so let us start at grassroots level.

“Our current crop of women politicians is aged. Where is the younger generation? Let us make a difference in 2018. This is our time,” said Chombo.local

Chivhu magistrate shames corrupt cops

25 March 2017, CHIVHU – Two corrupt police officers were last week left shame-faced after Magistrate Fadzai Mutombeni acquitted a First Class bus crew that they had accused of kidnap and strongly reprimanded the cops for fabricating the case after failing to get a bribe.
Magistrate Mutombeni found First Class bus driver Willis Mhandu (47) and bus conductor Courage Munetsi (20) not guilty of kidnapping the duo after strong evidence was presented to the effect that the officers had concocted the case out of disappointment.
Prosecutor Nicholas Mabvongodze failed to convince the court on the veracity of the charges and the magistrate set the accused persons free, criticising the two cops as more of comics than police officers.
It was also discovered in court that the two cops had a fraud case pending against them at the Harare Magistrates Court after they were allegedly caught red-handed receiving a bribe.
It was the State’s case that on November 18, 2016 around 02:00 hrs, a Harare-bound First Class bus driven by Mhandu in company of his conductor Munetsi approached a police roadblock near Chivhu police camp where police officers checked the bus and allowed them to proceed.
However, two other police officers; Detective Constable Austin Chakwenya and Constable Cephas Munyamana stopped the bus for a search but they went on to demand a bribe which the crew could not give.
The cops then went on board the bus and insisted that they be given the money and refused to disembark despite being given several chances to do so.
The bus arrived at Featherstone roadblock where the crew reported the matter to other police officers who failed to deal with the matter and left the bus to proceed with the duo still on board.
On approaching Beatrice, the duo informed Beatrice police that they had been kidnapped and asked the police to stop the bus. The bus crew were then arrested at the roadblock.local
