CHIVHU – The 39-year-old man who infamously told the Chivhu Magistrates Court that he had slept with his own daughter because ‘she is too sexy to resist’ was last week given a 20-year jail sentence by the same court.
The man, who cannot be identified to protect the victim, was found guilty of repeatedly raping his daughter by magistrate Fadzai Mtombeni who labelled the crime ‘inhuman’ considering the trust which should underpin the relationship between father and daughter.
The State’s case, as presented by Nicholas Mabvongodze, was that sometime in April 2015, the man asked for sexual favours from his daughter but she turned him down.
The perverted man forced himself into his daughters’ blankets and raped her nonetheless.
The court found him guilty of raping his daughter several more times until September 2016 when the daughter spilled the beans to her aunt with whom she was now living in Norton.
The rapist father had, however, pleaded not guilty to the rape charges, all the while claiming that it was his daughter who had seduced him and he had found it impossible to resist.local
