Sex worker jailed 12 months for stealing $23

GWERU – A Gweru prostitute rued the day she stole a few dollars from her client after she was slapped with a 12 month jail sentence by the Gweru Magistrates Court last week.
It was the State’s case that on August 16 2017, Nyarai Moyo (18) duped her client Ancikaria Murove of a plastic bag which contained some clothes and $23 cash before disappearing.
The court further heard that the complainant later identified Moyo at Mboma Night Club in Mkoba and tipped the police leading to her arrest.
The accused pleaded guilty but the stolen valuables were not recovered.
Gweru Magistrate Taruvinga presided over the case.local
